Hiya!
I said I'd meet Carlos and Corey for bowling today, but I overslept and by the time I got to the bowling alley we only had enough time for one game before open bowling closed for league play. I bowled a 102, and for a little while I was ahead of those guys, but I ended up in last. Afterwards we ate at the Speedway and I had this huge ass steak. Mmmmm. Then went over to Carlos's and played some Tiger Woods 2003 with them and Carlos's wife. Of the 4 of us I finished last with 14 over. I'm getting sick of that golf game.
I'm almost over my flu, I feel by the time I wake up I should be over it. Wrestlemania 19 is a bit better than X8, but there are still some kinks in the controls, such as high flying moves off the ropes being a bit harder to pull off like the lionsault and Tajiri's hanspring summersault. The revenge mode isn't all that cracked up it is to be either. The objectives are fairly basic and the modes get repetitive awfuly quick. Overall still a decent wrestling game, and the best one on the GCN right now, wait I mean second to DefJam Vendetta.
In the middle of the night Rich messaged me and wanted to come over to play some ESPN. He beat me 2 times in a row, and both games were really close. In the last game I could've tied with a field goal but I was all out of time outs and the clock ran out. Funny thing is though is when we went to our Crib's I saved my record, but before Rich got a chance to save his while he was browsing through his newly unlocked crib items, the game froze on him. I have no idea why, but I just felt bad for him about it cuz he didn't get to save his 2 wins on his record.
I got GameBreaker2004 and GameDay2004 in the mail to review, me and Rich tried out Gameday. It was the first time I played the series since the 2000 version on PSone. It's ok, but the game flows just too fast and Rich summed it up when he said "it feels like I'm playing Tecmo Bowl on the NES." Look for reviews of these 2, and ESPN, and WM19 within the month. I'm also slated to receive Fever 2004 next week. I already joined one of those XSN leagues with some of the people I work on the website with. We start up play here pretty soon, and the league options look pretty cool, they are complete with stats and everything you can track online. This is going to be the biggest year yet for football games for me.
Niners take on the Rams tomorrow, should be easy picking for 'em :) I better catch a quick nap if I plan on catching the game on tv here. Latez all!
