Hey yo! Started out Friday playing some ESPN NFL Football against Rich and Kevin, and later played against those 2 and Rocket in some No Mercy on N64. Allright day there overall, even tho I really didn't get a win in any of the games. Wait, I did beat Rich in ESPN Football that day, and he left my house in a fit again. That is the second time he did it within the past month.
On Saturday I was invited over to my older bro's (Bob) baby shower for his fiance. That's the second one I've ever been to, and I hate going to them because they should be just for females, but I think I was only invited both times just because I'll be obligated to get a gift. And just leave it to my mom and sister to bring a guilt trip on me if I buy them "just" a $10-15 gift, so I ended up getting a $25 gift when the fiance's family ended up getting her all the $10-15 gifts I had in mind. I bet that made my side of the family look fricking wealthy when we're really not. Fuck, I barely see my older bro that often, and I felt really outta place cause I barely socialized with his fiance's family, just a little bit, but I didn't feel like I left that great of an impression. My bro wanted me to stay for a while afterwards for a guys night out kind of things and I was going to, but then my bro-in-law Shawn asked me to go to Buffalo Wild Wings with him to hang with him and his friend cause it was his friend's B-Day. Felt bad about leaving that shower early, but oh well. After that on my way home I had one of those heart-to-heart talks with my little bro, Joe. Hard as hell getting info outta him on his first date.
Today went pretty good. Woke up early to catch the football games on tv with Rich and Kevin. Watched the Vikings beat the Falcons 38-26. They didn't air the 49ers game, but their 3 game losing streak mercifully came to an end as they defeated the Lions 24-17. I was going to go bowling with Carlos and Corey later on, but decided to stay and play some games with Rich and Kevin. Decided to make the most of Rich's last month in town before he leaves for 4 and a half years in the Navy on Oct 29. We played three rounds of ESPN NFL Football. I lost each and every one of them. Ticked me off too, at the beginning of the 4th quarter I had what looked to be a killer lead 38-21, but Rich and Kevin were teaming against me and they barely managed to rally and beat me 42-38. Grrrr.
It was kinda warm out for October today, nearly 70 degrees. So me, Rich, and Kevin went out to probably to play the last games of basketball for the year. We played three games of 21. By the second game it was pretty dark I turned on my truck to get the headlights on there for some light. Kevin won the first two rounds, but got frustrated and quit during the third round as he missed several easy layups for him. Of the three games I only scored a total of 11 points. With 4 in the first, 2 in the second, and 5 in the last game. I was never that good at basketball, but I still enjoy playing it nontheless.
Now I need to finish up my laundry and play some more of my Franchise in ESPN NFL Football, because if I don't review it before I get to bed I'm gonna be pretty disappointed with myself. That one is long overdue and I already clocked in about 30 hours in that game. Allrighty, that's all for now. Later!
