Well I finished off another well-spent weekend off. On Friday, Steve came over again, and him and Joe and his buddy Andy and I all did some four player gaming in Mario Kart: DD and Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain. After they left I got my created wrestler farther along in Season mode in Here Comes the Pain, but his stats are hard as hell to increase. I only get about 9 experience with each win and I need about 20 points just to raise one stat .5.
On Saturday I went with Jane & Shawn to see another UND Fighting Sioux football game as they faced Pittsburgh State in the opening round of the NCAA Division 2 Football playoffs. I'm surprised they don't give NCAA Division 1 football the same 64-team elimination bracket that NCAA basketball and Division 2 football use, as I really hate the 30 or so random "bowl" games. Anywho, the Sioux played an amazing game, especially the defense which had a whopping 5 interceptions and a fumble recovery. Final score was 24-14 UND!!! I actually made it out of traffic right away this time too! After that, I pretty much gamed all night, and got to enjoy a lot of my recently bought titles I haven't played in a while. I won two more games in my Franchise in ESPN NFL Football. I struggled pretty damn badly in NBA Jam on Xbox as I played four games against the comp, but only won just one of them. At least I was able to boost my created baller's attributes a bit with all the Jam points I won. Finally, I invested several more hours in my Season in HCtP, and managed to get my guy up to have 62 superstar points, but he still is pretty lousy all together.
On Sunday, Rocket came over and him, Joey, and I did a lot of three player gaming in Mario Kart: DD, and we did a bunch of Grand Prix racing for the most part. Afterwards Rocket continued to whoop me just like last weekend and beat me in NBA 2K3 by just 5 points, and beat me in a 15-minute Iron Man match with a score of 2 falls to just one by me. I'm in a gaming slump against him, but I got a feeling I'll hit my groove sometime soon. Afterward, I continued more solo gaming, as I got back into RAW 2 and played a few more months into my Season, and I went on the web and found a few cool CaW pages and made a pretty good Brtet Hart creation. I then dusted off my copy of Legends of Wrestling 2, and continued my career where I stopped last time cuz I had the worst time trying to beat one of the final wrestlers, but I managed to beat him today! I won a few more matches and I think I just got one more left before finishing it off for good! This game just brings back loads of memories, and I decided to read up my review I wrote for it a while back, which I'm really proud of and think is some of my best reviews I wrote. Click here to check it out.
49ers game wasn't aired in my local region today, but I really didn't care as they didn't win today as I expected cause they were playing against the Packers at Lambeau, and Green Bay is pretty much flawless there, but they didn't get whooped that bad with a final score of 20-10. That pretty much kills their playoff hopes right there.
I also got a call from Rich's mom the other day as she invited me to go to Rich's Navy boot camp graduation, but it's all the way in Chicago, and it'll be a 3 day trip during Dec 21-24. So just bad timing with the holidays, and also cutting into my work schedule, so I told her I couldn't make it. She wanted me to go too, and I feel rotten for not making it....but I'm sure Rich will understand. Other than that though, a really good well-spent weekend, and time for another dreadful work week, but I gots me an MP3 player to listen to now!!! Whooo!
