Well shortly after this post I'll be hitting the hay and finishing up my weekend. Things didn't really go how I wanted them too, but I still made the most out of my weekend regardless. Shelly never called me back, and I tried calling her a couple times Friday night but her line was busy so I had no idea was going on. My guess it is a sign to stop trying and finally take the popular hint that "lets be friends" translates into "stay the hell away from me." Sob, oh well. But Friday didn't go too bad anyways, went out to eat with the family, then paid a visit over to my dads and help him out with some computer problems. Then went out and grabbed a coke with Chris and chatted with him for about an hour. So it wasn't a wasted day.
One of my old acquaintences gave me a call outta the blue last weekend. The guy Steve, was on the amateur wrestling team with me in school way back in the 1996-1997 school year, and the only other real times I hung out with him was when he traveled with me to Fargo and right in town here to catch a WWF and a WCW wrestling events. But he wanted to do some gaming with me for a couple weeks and he finally managed to stop over Saturday for a couple hours. Rocket also stopped by and we did some four player gaming with my brother Joey. I dug out my multi tap for the PS2 and used it for the first time in quite a while for some 4 player action in Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain. Then after a while we did some 4 player No Mercy in and I was first of the 4 of us eliminated. Then Steve had to go, and Rocket wanted to take me on in a couple rounds of NBA 2K3, and he was the Magic twice, and I was playing as the Pacers as usual, and he managed to beat me both times, though by about 5 or 7 points in each game so it wasn't a blowout or anything. Then Rocket took me on the classic me and Rich use to end our gaming marathons on.......a 30 minute one-on-one Iron Man match in No Mercy. And even tho I had the lead early on, Rocket ended up destroying me with a total of 8 falls to my meager 3. That was when Rocket left and then one of my online pals was up for some Xbox online play and defeated me in NFL Fever 2004 with a score of 35-14.
On today...err Sunday actually....I met up with Carlos and we played 4 rounds of bowling. I actually did pretty good and broke a hundred 3 times with scores of 107, 122, and 135 (tied my highest score ever). I had a funny habit tho, I did really good the first 6 or 7 frames then I just had one or two extremely crappy frames and self destructed. It was still fun regardless. Anywho, I dunno if I said it before or not, but I got Rich's adress for where to write to him in the Navy from his folks last week, and I finally finished writing a letter to him. I'm a hoping he's surviving the boot camp well.
You are probably wondering why I didn't mention a thing about football in a while. That is because the 49ers had their bye last week, and they play on Monday Night Football tomorrow against the Steelers. They better win today tho, because both Seahawks and Rams in their division won to go to 7-3, tho it still looks like the 49ers won't make it to the playoffs this year, but I'm not crossing them off just yet.
Odd happenings also occured at one of the sites ( G2X) I worked for, one of the main guys quit because the site head honcho was being too much of an ass to him and ripping into him quite a bit lately. This was pretty much a backlash against him tho because this guy was pretty much the main one that was keeping the site together and was well liked by nearly the rest of the site staff. So he just happened to be working on another site project, and that's gonna be relaunching as his new video game website where he plans on taking on all the responsibility. Nearly 2/3's of the former site staff resigned from there and already signed up with him, myself included. I'm gonna miss G2X tho because of the last year and a half I worked there I put in literally hundreds of hours of work into updating release dates, paid to cover myself traveling to E3 to do coverage for them this past summer, and contributed nearly 100 reviews there just for the nex-gen systems alone. The site was also catching on so well and was receiving review copies from a lot of major publishers. It's too bad to see things go down like this, but I just hope things work out the best in the future for me.
Well, that's all I gotta say now......thanks for tuning in to my long blogg, and have a nice day.
