Hiya! I had another decent weekend. I ended up getting up to get a few hours of sleep two nights in a row and really screwing up my sleep schedule, because of y'know what......yep football. Friday night I just ended staying home and gaming a bit with Joey cuz it was too damn cold outside. I beat him two times in a row, so yay me. Anywho, I went to bed early and only really got a few hours sleep so I could catch the NCAA Division 2 football semifinal playoff match between my hometown UND Fighting Sioux against Northern Alabama. We manhadled them and the Sioux are going the championship game for the second time within three years, and they're facing the same team they faced two weeks ago....Grand Valley. And since this is a championship game it's being broadcasted on national cable on ESPN this Saturday at 3pm central time. So please root with me then :)
Later that night I went over to Corey's to root for his hometown LSU beat a team to win its conference, now they're going to face Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl for the national championship. So me and him are both pretty happy that our home college teams are in the NCAA championship games. And if things couldn't get any better, the 49ers destroyed the Cardinals, 50-10. And I was actually able to listen to the game via an official San Fran AM radio website, for free. Now I got a nice alternative when FOX doesn't air the games. Terell Owens got 2 touchdowns, and it was on his b-day too. Best receiver in the NFL I tells ya. Screw Harrison and Moss, they're nobodies :D
I was going to do a whole bunch of errand running Monday after I woke up, but I ended up oversleeping until an hour before I had to be to work. So now that'll have to wait to later today. It was funny at work last night, we happen to have our break while Conan 'O Brian is on, and he had a funny segment where he was discussing new centennial quarters for some of the states, and had some cool pictures and humorous quotes on them. And even good 'ol ND got a mention on there. Here are a few of them I remember:
New Jersey
"The state happily donated to the Indians"
Lousiana
"You're not fat here" (fellow co-worker and Lousiana native Corey said he can vouch for that)
and saving the best for last......
North Dakota
"Now with black people" (It's funny because it's true!)
