Hey, I did a smart bashing PS2 post on one of the forums I visit, this one deals with Sony's upcoming PSP, and how its gonna kickass and will pump Nintendo out of the market all together. Me, I'm defending the Big N and giving the real deal on Sony....here's what I had to say.......

No Sony's smart because they think the average American consumer will buy anything with the "Sony" label on it, no matter how faulty it is or what the price point is at. And regrettably, they're right. I see those television interviews with celebs or sport stars showing off their high price houses, and on a bunch of them (especially sport stars) point out their gaming rigs, and on several occasions I notice the celebs brag out their PS----excuse me, I mean ----and I quote-----

".....heres my phat SONY Playstation 2...."

I have seen that happened on multiple occasions, people are infactuated with the fact that Sony, the brand they trust for their stereos and televisions can make a non-faulty gaming console and buy it no matter what any of the naysayers say. That is the reason why Sony is gobbling up a good chunk on the general consumer base, not because big name publishers like EA or Square-Enix or supporting it en masse (although admittedly, it certainly doesn't hurt). If you're taking this worth a grain of salt, then why don't you consult a friend who happens to be the casual PS2 gamer, make sure to take a good look at all his gaming rig stuff (stereo, television, dvd player/vcr, speakers, etc) and notice how much of it has that "Sony" label on it. Yeah, that's what I thought. Now if some of you actually take some time to think about this, you'll now start wisely double guessing yourself.

Nice? I know it is :)
