Hiya everyone. Kind of interesting weekend. Kevin and Rocket came over Friday and we played some Halo, NBA 2K3, and NBA Inside Drive 2004. After that me and Joe went Cosmic Bowling with Steve. I beat them two out of three times with scores of 104, and 114. Ran into Aubree and her friends at the bowling alley too. She postponed hanging out with me until Sunday. Afterwards I went out for a little cruise on the Interstate for about an hour so I can just enjoy a nice ride in the country, and listened to some of my favorite cd's. When I got back from my cruise I sat down and did my taxes for a few hours. Did telefile for federal, which was a cakewalk, the phone service walked me right throught it and I had it done in about 10 minutes. I'm getting about $380 back in federal. State I had to by hand on the tax forms, I struggled a little bit, but I dug up some old tax forms from previous years I did with my dad, and that helped me a bit. I'm only getting back about $40 in state, which isn't that much, but combined out to $420 will help me out quite a bit.
On Saturday I journeyed out to Target to do a little bit of shopping. I bought me a new pair of sunglasses. Hopefully, I'll be able to make these ones last as I went through three pair last year (one broke, and I lost the other two pair). I also took a chance and picked out a new CD. I picked up Andrew W.K.'s new album because I liked his performance on Conan 'O Brian not to long ago. Halfway thru the album so far, don't have a solid opinion yet, too hard to make out lyrics, but I do like the riffs. Later on in the day me, Joey, and Dad went to see that 50 First Dates movie. Pretty good I must say, a bit better than Mr. Deeds, but a few too many one-liners in this one is pretty much only thing I have to nitpick about. Afterward me and Joe watched Army of Darkness.....Joe's a big fan of Bruce Campbell's B movies, and recently picked up his autobiography. Not too bad of a flick anyways, tho obviously a bit too corny.
On Sunday I picked up Aubree around 7:30, and we went and shot some pool. We both slopped and scratched all over the place. Tho of the four games we played, I think Aubree got the only clean win. Afterward went back to her place, where she surprised me by inviting me in to play some games. One of very few female gamers I ran into. We played some Goldeneye 007 and.........Pokemon Stadium. Then watched a flick, and chatted for awhile afterwards before I took off around 1:30am. I think I can already tell that I won't be able to form a dating relationship with her after tonight, but she said I'm always welcomed to give her a call if I'm ever bored, so its good to make a friendship out of it at the very least. That, and I can converse and relate with her better than my other friends in town, and that is something I like about her.
