Booya! What a super-fast weekend I had! On Friday I went and hung out with Jarod and his girlfriend Dawn. We saw that new Johnny Depp movie, The Secret Window. It freakin rocked. I knew it'd be good cuz Depp was great in The Ninth Gate, and this film looked of the same sci-fi thriller nature and I was right of course. I highly recommend it, think Fight Club, but a completely different setting and nature. Afterwards we went Cosmic Bowling. We finished three games where I won one and Jarod won the other two. Had to get to bed earlier than my usual 7 or 8 in the morning so I crashed around 2am and woke up at 7am to get ready to go to Fargo to celebrate my sister, Sherrie's 32nd B-Day! We ate at Happy Joe's and then went and watched her husband, Rob, bowl in a tournament for about an hour or so. Then we went shopping in the mall and I picked up a new shirt and pair of athletic shorts for basketball. When I got back in town Rocket came over and me, him, and Joe played Monopoly for a couple hours as Richard managed to be victorious. Played some games for a little while afterwards and then he took off.
Sunday was the big day for my Wrestlemania party. I woke up early around noon, and just relaxed around home and watched a good college basketball game as Maryland upset Duke and made a twelve point comeback to go into overtime and come away with the win in an intense, exciting game! It made me decide to get ESPN College Hoops for Xbox. Figure I'll enjoy that and move onto Sega's NBA offering next season. Then people started arriving for the Wrestlemania party. First I picked up Steve, and Rocket walked over right when I got back with Steve around 4pm. Then we played a lil bit of No Mercy then Corey came over around 5 and he helped me pick up the rest of my friends. We got Jarrett & Dawn, Kevin, and Cordell. AJ, Carlos, and Chris didn't manage to make it over. We all ate 50 bucks worth of pizza like mad!
The Wrestlemania PPV itself was a bit of a mixed bag. Goldberg/Brock stunk up the joint and the fans boo'd the hell outta both of them for all the right reasons. Don't let the door hit ya on your way out guys! Too many goddam roll-up finishes! Jericho/Christian and Angle/Eddie were awesome matches until the lame ending. Cena/Big Show was good for what it was, and the only two matches I really enjoyed were Evolution/Rock 'n Sock and the World Title Triple Threat that saved the show from being a total disaster. But with Benoit as new champ, it was all worth it. That's all for now...latez!
