Howdy all! Looks like Blogger changed their template.....I don't like it one bit, but I guess all sites gotta do their yearly makeovers or whatever. Anywho, I just finished up the weekend, and it didn't go all that bad. On Friday I first helped Joey pick out a new television he wanted to buy with his second ever paycheck from KFC since I took my kickass 32" with me to my new apartment. He ended up getting a nice 27" APEX for about $200.
I then went over to Aubree & Jenny's new apartment for that lame 'all night Pajama Party Lord of the Rings sleepover' they invited me to a few days ago. I decided I couldn't watch all 3 Lord of the Rings movies in their entirety sober again so I went to the liquor store and bought a liter of Captain Morgan's and some Coke to last me the night. Surprisingly I wasn't ID'd, tiz my second time not being ID'd already. It turned out we didnt watch any of the Lord of the Rings movies anyways. A whole bunch of people from work were there like John, Brad, Scott, Matt, and of course Aubree and Jenny along with a few other people I met before from Aubree's last party like Sam and Kayla. I've been getting along with Scott pretty well lately and I think I might start hanging out with him a bit more.
Anyways, we played some drinking games for a couple hours and then just bullshitted for the rest of the night. I never really got drunk, I had about 5 drinks during the course of the 7 hours I was there, so I was slightly buzzing early on but it was all worn off towards the end. The thing really started to drag towards the end as I was just freaking bored off my ass and Aubree & Jenny were all 'now this is a no-make out party' so I couldn't do any of the fun hitting on gals when I'm stuff that I enjoy doing, so that was why my urge to drink wasn't as high as it should have been. Everyone started to pass out around 4:30am, and I just decided to head home and go to sleep where I had a bed waiting for me instead of the little sofa seat I was on.
On Saturday I hung out with Jarod and his girlfriend for the first time in a while. We had some dinner at Wild Wings, and then I showed them my new apartment. Now Jarod really likes his alcohol, and to tell you the truth I'd say he must drink about a good liter a day of hard liquor. Now he asked if he could mix up a drink to bring to the movie we wanted to see. I said sure what the hell, but realized he literally poored half of the entire liter in his mixed drink. Think I gotta hide the alcohol when he's around next time. We then went to see the movie Van Helsing, and it was your typical Vampire Hunter movie, and aside from some cool special effects, nothing else really stood out to make me go wow. Underworld is much better. After the flick we went Cosmic Bowling, and we bowled two games and I did really well and won both of them. The first game I won with the score of 119, which I thought was a damn good comeback because I was at a mighty low 10 at the third frame in that game. In the second game I started out rocking with 3 strikes and a spare within the first 5 frames. By the end I broke my old high score of 135 with a new record of 143. So Yay me!
Sunday was Mother's day, and I spent the first 5 hours of the day celebrating it with the family. Ann went out of her way to buy a big meat and cheese platter and smokey's. Was nice eating in for once. I bought my mom some Solar Lights for her garden. Afterwards I went home and I went to Target to buy a couple more apartment necessities like silverware and a few more bowls. Once I got home I met another neighbor across the hall from me named Evett. She said she lived their for 7 years and she gave me a good rundown of the rest of the people in the apartment. Later that night Carlos and Corey came over and we played some games and later me and Corey watched the Monday Night Wars DVD.
Over the weekend I also bought a few goodies for myself. I got the Punisher soundtrack, which I listened thru once so far, and it has a lot of good Rock and Hard Rock tracks on there. Oddly enough Kane's entrance theme by Slow Chemical is in the middle of the album and I never recalled heaing it throughout the course of the film. I also picked up Destruction Derby Arenas on PS2 with some of the store credit I had set aside from selling the old Beyond the Mat and MTX Mototrax a few weeks ago. I didn't get a chance to try it out yet, but I have a sweet tooth for Demolition Derby games as I loved Destruction Derby 64 and Demolition Racer on Dreamcast. I also bought the Family Guy Season 1 & 2 DVD set. So far over the weekend I watched two episodes off the first disc of it, I'm also three discs thru the fourth season of Friends. Damn....this was quite a long entry.....thanks for bearing with me thru it. Latez!
