Hiya! These past two days were the first two that didn't just breeze by outta nowhere, I've actually been managing to enjoy them. On Friday morning, I met Jane, Joey, Mom, and Ann for breakfast and then we went with Ann to the bus stop to see her off down to Arkansas again where she plans to spend a bit of time with Austin coping with his mom's death. She says she plans on being down there from about 3 weeks till up about to a month. Jane and Mom are pretty much thinking she's going down there for good, but I have a gut instinct that Ann is sticking to her word and will be back, that and she told me too that she really means that she is going to come back.
After that, I went hope and napped for a good few hours and woke up around 6pm and gave Scott a ring as I said I'd hang with him on Friday. We started up a two player Franchise in Madden and both played a game each, and then just kinda chilled for awhile. We later watched Memento. That's my second time watching that movie and just as I expected, I chained together a whole bunch of stuff I missed from my initial viewing. Shortly after that it was about 5am and I decided to get some more Zzz and Scott decided to crash at my place again.
We both woke up around 11am, and went to Target to pick up our paychecks, cashed them, and then we both had a killer steak meal at Speedway. Now after getting to know Scott here a bit better from this past week, it turns out he is quite the womanizer. He was pretty much flirting with the waitress, and told me of ways he talked to gals at bars before and gave me some good pointers on walking up on one and how to keep a good conversation going. It also turns out he is going after Aubree too, I don't recall if I mentioned that before in here or not. He told me he was the one that finally got Aubree to her senses and ended her travesty of relationship (if u want to call it that) with Matt. He says he thinks he has a pretty good chance of hooking up with her soon as a couple and is real good friends with her as it is. I hope it does work out for them actually, I think they would make a much more better couple than Aubree & Matt did.
Back on track now, after lunch we headed back to Target to blow our paychecks. I managed to just buy a pair of cargo shorts I can wear to work. Scott got a couple new Xbox titles to add to increase his Xbox library up to three. He got Star Wars - Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, and Knights of the Old Republic. He played that game to death he told me during the week or so I let him borrow it. After Target I dropped him off, and I remembered to ask him for my copy of KotoR back that I borrowed to him since he just bought it. And he said he'll just give me his new copy so he won't have to run back outside, I told him I couldn't accept a brand new copy in exchange for him keeping my copy that prolly already has a few scratches on it, but he insisted so I ended with a brand new copy of KotoR yesterday.
Shortly after I dropped Scott off I gave Joey a call to see if he wanted to see the new movie, Dodge Ball. He came along, I tried to get ahold of Chris too cause I know he's a huge Ben Stiller fan, but he had other errands to run at the time and couldn't make it. Well, Dodge Ball turned out to be a kickass movie, it started off kind of corny, with some expected lame jokes and all, but it picked up about midway through and the second half of the movie totally rocked. There were a couple of cameos in there two from some famous celebrities that I had no idea were gonna be in there. If you're in for those strange-Stiller comedies like his previous hit, Zoolander, then you definitely would want to check this one out. I highly recommend it.
After the movie I dropped Joe off, and tried to take a nap at home, but just couldn't. Thought the night would drag at work after getting up so unusualy early, but it really didn't. I was just a wee bit on the groggy side for the first few hours of work, but I ended up getting to work in most of the areas I enjoyed, and it wasn't a bad night overall. This should be my last night of Flo (stocking) work for Target for a while now after doing it for three weeks. I'm already scheduled for 40 hours for the next 2 weeks on Plano and if I recall correctly at our schedule last year, it remained that way up until shortly after Thanksgiving.
I ended up staying an extra hour and ten minutes at work today and managed to make my 16-hour scheduled work week into just a hair under 18 hours. Not all that great I know, and get this, I just got a call from work wanting me to come in tonight, but unfortunately my hours would lapse over into next week and cause me to get overtime (which work hastily disapproves of), so I just couldn't do the shift. I might just have to pick up a second job to get some extra cash. I was thinking maybe applying at GameStop, it would be cool to work out in the game environment, and I hear the employees there get 25% off all their titles so I'd save a bit in my gaming budget too. We'll just have to see how things turn out in the coming weeks.
Saturday night I went over to my Aunt's and visited a whole bunch of family members that are in town for my Uncle's funeral this Sunday. It feels real odd visiting some of those family members, as I never saw a whole bunch of them sine my last funeral a little under two years ago for my Grandma. Well, I've been rattling off for a while now, so I'm going to get some much needed ZZZZ's....latez!
