Well, just an hour ago Richard left on his bus for Auburn, California. I spent Friday hanging out with him for several hours before we left for work. I finally beat him in NBA 2K3 for the first time in a while where I won as the Kings against his Blazers, but then he proceeded to beat me in a rematch. He then conquered me in No Mercy again in our regular Iron Man match. We were gonna hang out with AJ and his friend Joe too later on, but I had to work again to end my 5 night stretch.
I got off work about seven hours ago at 5:30 this morning and watched the debut episode of TNA Impact on FSN that I taped yesterday while I waited for Rocket to call. That 6-sided ring does look pretty unique, and the X Division looks packed with talent. Some of those moves they did were un-freaking believable. Somebody get AKI to make a game on this company now!
Richard called around 6:00am and came over with AJ and me and Richard did one more little gaming marathon. Where, in the first time in like ages, I beat Richard in Rocky.......twice!!! Fist as Clubber Lang, then Richard beat me in a rematch, but then I beat him one more time afterwards as Ivan Drago. I never thought that would happen as Richard was playing at God-like levels in Rocky. After that he beat me two times in NBA 2K3, and finally to end our last gaming marathon he beat me in a close 15-minute Iron Man match, two falls to just my one fall.
After the gaming, I took Richard on some last minute errand running as I took him to pick up his last paycheck from Taco Johns, then cash it, and then me, him, and his dad did some grocery shopping for him for his 2-day bus trip and went out and had some breakfast at McDonalds. We then went got to the bus stop about an hour early before the bus's departure. When his bus arrived I helped Richard put his bags on the bus, then me and his dad gave him a hug and wished him well, and we standed across the lot talking, waiting until the bus would leave. I originally thought, 'wow, Rich was pretty quite the past few hours I'm surprised he handled the goodbyes that well.' Then, just a minute before the bus left he got off and came over to us in tears saying one more last goodbye. Damnit, he got me in tears too as I tried to make him feel good by telling him how proud I was to see him moving on with his life. Admittedly, I am going to miss him a little bit as he was my main friend who I did about 70% of my gaming with and was practically the only person I shot hoops with.
Heres, to you Rocket, best of luck to you in Sacramento, and you better shape up your bad habits man! ---Latez!!!!!!
