Hey yo! Halfway thru the work week, and it is starting to go by a hair better than I thought it would. First off, on Sunday Corey got back into town and he swung by and we played quite a few rounds of some of bargain bin titles I bought last week. I let him borrow ESPN MLS Extratime 2002 on GCN since I know he's a big soccer gamer. We played Links 2004, which was a fresh change of pace from the countless rounds of Tiger Woods 2003, but after several holes the game just drags like all other golf games. That is the bad thing about golf games, they just draaaag. We did online golf and online ESPN Football over Xbox Live which was fun for awhile. And I did whoop Corey in our rematch in ESPN Football also. All in all, twas a fun way to finish my weekend.
I also watched the ESPY awards too that night, good to see Lebron get best breakthru player and Super Bowl get best game award. Jaamie Foxx did one helluva job hosting the thing, and had a freaking hilarious monologue. ESPY awards is one of the few award shows I can stand watching.
Speaking of ESPN, ESPN NFL 2K5 comes out today! Can't wait to pick it up and start wasting my life away. I hope its new $20 price tag and early release finally gives it the sales it deserves. Madden also looks to deliver its usual powerhouse package, as I'm looking forward to trying out its storyline central features in Franchise mode. So one thing is for sure, this is going to be the best year for football games yet, especially because I won't have to review any crap 989 titles like I did last year. Speaking of reviews, I just got one up for Showdown: Legends of Wrestling, click here to check it out.
Work went by fine this week so far, were resetting shoes again, which is something we always dread. Doesn't seem to be as bad this year. Tho lately I feel like I have been accomplishing nothing at work, and at times I feel pretty useless at my job. I have held my job here the longest consecutively than my other two jobs, and I do like the benefits, but when you get the feeling that you don't feel that you're wanted at your workplace anymore, it tends to grow on me. A lot of the times it doesn't get to me as for about 80% of the time I can give a rat's ass whatever anybody thinks of me at work, I'm just there to get the job done and get it done as good as I can. Other career possibilites have been crossing my mind lately, so I'll just have to see how this year goes and hopefully make some major career decision within the year. But knowing me, I'll just be saying the same thing a year from now.
