Howdy again everyone! I'm about done wrapping up another decent weekend. On Friday, didn't really do a whole lot, my dad gave me a ring and he took me out to eat at Speedway and I had myself a nice steak dinner. Then I went to GameStop, and sold six games to pay off Madden and reserve ESPN NHL 2K5. I saw the manager there and asked if they're hiring any holiday help, and she said they do it around September. I told her I put in an app a couple weeks ago and she kinda gave me a vague answer on how she'll keep my app in mind come seasonal time. Probably a blowoff but oh well, it'd still rule to work there.  Got a call too from Rich that day, he said he's doing great in San Diego, said he recently got a whole seasons worth of 49ers tickets for only $250. Man am I jealous.

Practically spent all Friday night practicing ESPN NFL 2K5. It's a blast right now, I'm practicing up on all-pro mode, and lost a few against the comp, but I'm gradually getting better and have won a couple games right now. Game has a slightly different feel, had to re-tool my strategy in the running game as it was a tad tougher. That weekly prep mode is insanely difficult to manage correctly too, I spent a good 15 minutes alone making use of my whole week, and after I thought I made great use of it, it turned out I used it wrong and I had a lot of player ratings drop a few points. So immediately I turned off weekly prep after that little scenario.

On Saturday it was my brother, Bob's birthday and I went to my mom's to celebrate it along with Jane, Shawn, and Ann. I had to leave in the middle of it to get wrestling tickets that went on sale at noon, didn't get too bad of seats, third row from ringside. Turns out Steve could make it afterall so that is another plus. Back on track now, the b-day celebration was nice, and afterwards Jane, Shawn, Ann, and I went to Menards to go shopping for a present for my mom's b-day coming up soon. She wants some gigantic statues for her garden we were all gonna split on, to make matter a little rough for me when I went to the ATM machine to get some money to chip on it I then discovered I lost my ATM card, I must have left it in another ATM by mistake and not have realized it.

Yeah, all my spare money from this check is pretty much gone now anyways. I thought I would have done great this month budget-wise as it was a three check month and I would have a lot of spare money to put aside, but bob & mom's b-day presents, renewing car license tags, and wrestling tickets pretty much put all that on hold. Thankfully, its a three check month or else I would have been scraping really high for extra dough.

Later on Saturday Corey came over and we played a few rounds of ESPN NFL 2K5. He loves it and plans on getting it now. Afterwards we played a round of Links 2004, and some more ESPN NFL 2K5 before calling it quits. On Sunday I had Steve over and he pretty much stomped all over me in gaming. He beat me in Slugfest Loaded, then on ESPN NBA, but we did team up to beat the comp in NFL 2K5.

On my way back home after I dropped Steve off just a couple hours I ran into a couple old acquaintences at Mini-Mart by the names of Adam & Jessica. Never were really actual friends of mine, but they were with my old roommate Matt. He never really liked either of them, and Adam was actually suppose to live with us before Matt ditched him and told him off. I knew Adam through middle & high school, but I never really hung out with the two on my own time. Those two however I keep running into every couple of months at gas stations or restaurants, its just freaky how often I run into them. They keep on begging me to call them and hang out with them, and I keep telling them I'm way too busy and barely have any spare time as it is and for them to call me.

They told me how they ran into Matt at the casino not to long ago and how he recently moved back into town after he was outta town for a good while now (haven't talked to him after I moved out of our place over two years ago around April 2002). I told them they should call up Matt and everyone else we associated with back in high school and have us all meet up for coffee or something in the near future. They prolly wont even call me, as they usually don't, but I could care less, would be cool tho to contact Matt again and try to make amends with him as we did have our differences when I moved outta our apartment.

Tiz all for now...later.
