Another weekend is in the books. For a majority of it, this was a weekend of football. On Friday I whalloped Phycho Fadden online in some ESPN NFL 2K5. Right after that I went over to Carlos's to watch the 49ers take on the Vikings in their third game of the preseason. 49ers didn't do too hot, as Vikings killed them in total yards with 510 yards compared to the 49ers meager 167, and it looked like they struggled for every one of them. Final score 23-10. Doesn't look to be too great of a season ahead of for the 49ers, as they're looking to have their worst season since 1999.
On Saturday Jane had a couple of free tickets to watch the opening season UND football game at the Alerus. First half of the game was great, second half not so much except for the last few minutes where UND intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown to cap off a deserved win. Later on that day went with the family out to eat at Speedway, and took Joey to go blow a little bit of his paycheck. He finally got an Xbox Live account so now he doesn't have to use mine all the time! Got back home that night and finished off my review for ESPN NFL 2K5 .
Sunday did a couple of errands with my Dad and visited my Aunt for the first time in a few months. Hung out with Steve later that day. We watched the latest episode of TNA that I taped a few days back. Show format is slightly getting better as there's now 1 or 2 big matches to complement all the jobber squash fests that are offered. We did a little bit of a gaming marathon too, as Steve layed a whooping on me in ESPN NFL 2K5 and Showdown, but at least I managed to win a round of RAW 2 over him.
I got the Metallica concert burned on CD and finished listening to the first half of it today, not really the best live album I've heard, but the effort wasn't put into make it a masterpiece of a live album like the ones that AC/DC and Nine Inch Nails put out. Of course I can't blame them for that since Metallica is putting up almost every show they did the past year or two for download off their site. Still not that bad as a whole, and it is something grand to remember the concert by at the very least.
That's it for me today, latez!
