Finished up the work week and the weekend. On Friday I went to the local College registree office to see if I still had time to enroll for this semester's courses, but I was too late again, so I'll have to end up putting off another semester's worth of courses. I came into work on Friday because I took the first couple of days off for the Metallica concert. I was penned in until 6:30am, but right as we were about take off our supervisor calls all of us to the back and explains that the head District Lead is going to be visiting today at noon, and that he'd appreciate if any of us stay later to help work out all the loose ends and get the store looking in good shape. I thought at first, 'ok i can stay an hour and then take off' but the little stuff we were working out was real easy, and it was nicely organized by each department, so I kept thinking, 'well I'll finish up this area, maybe one more area, etc' and by the time I finally took off it was 10am and I ended up working a 12 hour shift. Fricking insane I tells ya!
By the time I got home and went to bed it was 11:30 in the morning and I told Steve I'd pick him up to get ready for the WWE house show that day around 3pm. I only ended up getting around three hours of sleep, but I surprisingly felt fine for most of the day. Picked Steve up about 3:30, and got back and played a round of Showdown while we waited for my dad to pick us up. I finally won a battle royal in that game against Steve right when my dad came by. When we got to Fargo and decided to stop somewhere for a quick bite to eat before going to the venue. We decided to go to A&W there since there isn't one in Grand Forks. I forgot how much I loved that place, there burgers are right on par with Sonic's stellar burgers, and you get an ice cold mug to get some actual draft root beer, great stuff indeed.
The actual RAW house show was pretty good and a helluva lot better than last year's , with one of the main reasons being there were a lot more bigger names at this year's event. Click here for my match-by-match analysis of the show, along with a whole bunch of decent-to-great shots I took with my DigiCam at my 3rd row from ringside seats. Dad dropped us off at my place around midnight afterwards, and Steve and I were originally gonna still hang out for a while longer but both of us were dead tired so I immediately dropped him off. I tried to stay up as long as I could so I wouldn't throw off my sleep schedule too bad but the lack of sleep was really kicking in around that point and I ended up passing out around 2:30am.
Woke up at 10am, and decided to get some errands done, and did a lil bit of grocery shopping. Went home and just chilled for a while, and Kevin swung by again around 4pm today, and we got a bit of gaming going on, as I beat him in a close match-up of ESPN NFL 2K5 that went into overtime. I then smoked him in a round of Showdown. Kevin then got even as he narrowly beat me in Links 2004. I found golf games to be a lot less boring by turning the length down from the usual 18 to 9 holes now. Though we ended up playing 12 since in our match play we were tied with 4 holes a piece after the ninth hole, and did playoff hole after playoff hole until Kevin finally beat me by a stroke on the third playoff hole after I just came up short on a putt. To end that gaming marathon, Kevin had a nice blowout win over me in NBA Jam.
Later on that day, I did three rounds of ESPN NFL 2K5 online with our local Phycho Penguin, and after he beat me two times in a row, I was finally able to pull out a win against him with the Vikes against his Titans by a score of 33-25. I think that is my first win against him in online football games period after I went about 0-11 to him in NCAA Football 2004 online too, so it a very big win for me to say the least. Another weekend in the books.......I think I'm gonna pass out now.
