Howdy all, I'm about halfway into the work week right now, its breezing by like usual, even tho I had to stay about 15 minutes late today. Yesterday I got 49ers gear in the mail I posted about last week. I finally have a TO jersey......whooo! I also went to GameStop to pick up my copy of Madden NFL 2005 I had reserved. And it was the weirdest thing, they had some sort of celebration for Madden coming out and all. They had a big 40-inch plasma television with Madden on it, all the employees were wearing football jerseys, and the there was a lil buffett table with free hot dogs, chips and soda for everyone. That was great and all, but........they didn't do that type of thing for ESPN NFL 2K5 :( But free food is free food, so huzzah for that.
Watched both new installments of 'The Headlines' and 'Who's #1?' on ESPN last night. Headline #5 of the past 25 years was Pete Rose gambling on baseball. ESPN is actually doing a made for tv movie about Rose airing soon. As far as my take on the situation, I'm all for Rose going into the hall of fame, no matter how many times he denied betting on the game until he came clean about it. As they wisely pointed out on the special, the Hall of Fame is all about one's accomplishments on the diamond, not off of it; Pete Rose has the all-time record for hits for cryin out loud. One of only 2 players to hit over 4,000 hits and played his ass off like no one else back in the day. Induct him into the hall of fame for pete's sake! Who's #1 had the top 25 chokes, and of course number one was the Red Sox blowing game 6 of the world series to the Mets.
RAW was decent this week, a lot of hype for Summerslam of course, hated to see Regal getting the crap beat out of him again for the second week in a row, but its getting HHH over as the old badass heel we all loved to hate from his 2000-2001 years and getting him out of his old stuck-up snob mode he was playing up until the beginning of this year. Too much RAW Diva promotion again this week, but thank God for the fast forward button. That Dodge Ball match sounds interesting to say the least tho, prolly a bad type of interesting, but interesting nonetheless.
That's all for this week, ONE MORE WEEK TILL METALLLLICA!!!!
