Just finished up the work/school week. Just had my first test today. Didn't help matters I walked in 10 minutes cuz of goddam traffic, or the fact that I have a horrendous cold bothering the hell out of me. The damndest thing out of it all is my boss said he was surprised at how well I worked today factoring in my cold saying "You should come in to work sick more often" Umm, thanks I guess. Thank goodness for Nyquil, that shit should be knoking me out any minute now. Actually has been several months, if not a year since I actually had as serious as a cold as this one, hopefully I'll be over it soon.

As you could tell by my previous entry I finished the TO book, and am now into part 2 in the "Death of WCW" book. Before I started this work week I saw a few other flicks that I didn't get a chance to review in my last movie marathon post, so now here they are, probably a little shorter than what I want them to be cause of my damn cold, but they are fixated with my new awesome rating system:

Meet the Fockers
I have no idea why this is doing so well in the box office. It's nowhere near as good as Meet the Parents, but Ben Stiller gives it his all and saves it as usual. It's not all that bad, it just seems the actors don't put as much effort into their roles this time around and there are a lot of scenes that just drag on without going anywhere. Thankfully Stiller steps up with his regular great performance, his "Asshole" and little stand up bit while he's on that serum pretty much save the film. I'll go 6/10 overall, which translates into...

Goodfellas
First time I saw this flick. Ray Liotta and Joe Pesci do superb performances in this great modern-day, err 1990-modern day gangster classic! Pesci especially has some memorable exchanges, I'll forever remember his funny guy exchange in the restaurant with Liotta, and how he miserable he made that bartender. This movie is just too good to be true. Remarkable performances from nearly everyone, I really can't think of anything else to add due to that damn cold. 10/10....

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle

I wasn't expecting this film to be so damn good. My brother owned it and I reluctantly watched it with him, thinking it looked just as, if not, kornier than "White Chicks." Man was I wrong. Who know how two guys spend a whole not attempting to make it to White Castle to satisfy their hunger can be such an entertaining experience from all the trouble they go through. I love the cameo of that old TV star that I haven't seen in ages, and how moronic they portrayed him to be was what put this flick over the top into comedic greatness. And yes, this film sets out what it achieves to do by making me freaking hungry for White Castle now. 9/10, which is on the allmighty TO scale..
