Another weekend is wrapped up. Went by awfully quick. Friday, I hung out with Joe and Chris, and we played the new Champions: Call to Arms for several arms. The game is just as addicting as its predecessor, and even though its just Dark Alliance with an Everquest universe makeover, its still much more fun simply because you can play with 3 or 4 players. After all that madness, we all watched Harold & Kumar go to White Castle due to Chris not seeing it yet. This is my third time seeing it this past month, and man do I love that movie. Right after it I asked Chris what he thought, to which he responded with "I'm going to buy that!"

Saturday I spent celebrating my Janes birthday. We went to Applebees for lunch and I had one of those new 3 course meals of their's. I had the steak/onion pedals/cheesecake combo. Nice all around, but for the price it didn't fill me up like I thought it would. After lunch, we headed back to mom's and played Outburst, and Pictionary for a few hours. Outburst is one of my favorite board games now, they need to make a video game version of that, I'd so rule it. After the games and fun we had the traditional cake and gift opening, and I watched over my nephew and visited with the family for another hour or so before heading back to my apartment. Caught the Slam Dunk competition that night, probably my favorite highlight of it was Stoudamire getting that awesome dunk off the backboard, then off of his teammates head and back to another fabulous dunk. Then there was that white New Orleans player who just blew himself up all together. Pretty decent all around, but it could have used more name quality players there.

After the dunk competition I met up with Rocket online on Halo 2 for a couple hours, and then the Software Etc crew in one helluva multi-flag CTF match on Coagulation that lasted somewhere from 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Insanely fun. After all that fragging fun I kicked back and watched my taped episodes of TV programming I was behind on of the week that consisted of Smackdown, Joey, Imapact, and that G4 block of new programming Friday nights. Joey's turning into a real good sitcom, and has had a bunch of memorable episodes already this season. Smackdown had one helluva cruiserweight title match between Chavo and Funaki. TNA continues its slow but steady rise of improvement. They got almost all of DX there now with the additions of Billy Gunn and X-Pac now. But please, get the belt off Jeff Jarrett already, just not against the recent WCW/WWE washouts they brought in. After all that programming, I watched 200 Cigarettes, and it ended up being a little better than I expected it to be. Good setting, good plot, good all around. Buy it :)

Sunday Steve came over and we did two rounds of the NFL 2K5. I shocked myself by having my horrendous Niners beat his Seahawks 28-10. I kept mixing up my team selection lately by picking the Cardinals next due to all the constant shilling I hear from Phycho Penguin about them, and yes I played Shaun King throughout the whole game. He actually ended up turning in one of my best passing performances with 10 completions for 291 yards. Almost all my passes went to Boldin and Fitzgerald. Emmit even had over a 100 yards rushing too. Unfortunately I had some piss poor defense, and ended up losing to Steve's Cheifs. After that did some RAW 2 and Halo 2 before concluding another great gaming marathon.

All in all, another decent weekend, but dreading the start of this work week. Should be another bore.
