Well another week is in the books. Work went by pretty fast overall. Pretty easy too. Right now I really have nothing else I want to accomplish at my job, and it is starting to get really repetitive to boot now. I don't know if I can see myself there by the end of the year.

Weekend went by just as fast too, on Friday I went to one of those many fish fry's they had going on around town and pigged out there for my meal for the day. Then I met up with Joe for a bit and we just browsed around at Best Buy and bs'd with some of the GameStop employees until they closed. Chris joined us too at Gamestop when we were there, and he ended up buying the new Champions sequel, Call to Arms. Which us three later played at my house for a couple of hours. Just as fun as its Champions of Norrath predecessor, but with a little more polished gameplay and now you can quest as good or evil. They left about 2am in the morning, and when I got back I finally picked up watching the 24 season one set for the first time in a couple of months. Ended up watching four more episodes over the weekend, just eight more left.

On Saturday, I grabbed some dinner with Ann and Joe at Little Caesars, and right after that Joey and I went to meet up with my old crew at Software Etc right after they closed to go to a Halo 2 LAN party. First time I've done one of those in a little over a year. It was pretty damn fun I have to admit. There were 10 guys there for most of the night, and we played a lot variations of modes and maps like Slayer, Assault, CtF, Oddball, King of the Hill and even a couple interesting custom made scenarios like Territories and best of five single life. Single life is pretty much like Halo meets SOCOM, and adds a whole extra layer of strategy to the mix. Probably my worst moment came was when the host decided to do Snipers only on Coagulation with a 50 kill limit. It pretty much was between just Joe and this other dude who were sniping people off left and right, I died at least 30 times it felt like, but since there were so many people playing I managed to get away with 10 kills to make things a little fun while Joey lost by just four points overall. Probably my best moment came in a multi-flag CtF round where I grabbed a Wraith and went on my best killing spree ever, only dying once the whole round before my rampage was finally over at 17 straight kills. I had a blast there and Joe and I definitely plan on stopping by there again.

Sunday took things a little bit easier in the first part of the day and just chilled at home for a little while before picking up Steve and hanging out with him for most of the night. To much of my surprise we actually played games the whole time he over. I beat him twice in NFL 2K5, both times with shitty teams. First round I was the Saints and defeated his Falcons in a close, low scoring game. We both scrambled with our QBs a bit. Most I ever did in a game actually cuz Brooks got me three awesome carries for a tally of 60 some yards and helped overcame my shitty 5/20 passing ratio. Second time I picked the Giants (yes those Giants, with Warner as the main QB too, screw Eli) and played an amazing game against Steve's Titans in retro Oilers uniforms. I started off shitty and was down 14-0, but came back and won by 21-17 in another close game. My passing game was much better, with Shockey and Toomer getting all of my receptions, and Tiki Barber doing an allrigt job running in for 2 TD's. Steve did redeem himself however by setting the new high score in the Crib trivia machine however, breaking Corey's high score by 1000 points so huzzah for him.

After that we teamed up in NBA and NHL 2K5 against random people online and lost both times. Still was pretty fun though and a nice change of pace. Did our usual Showdown battle royal spectacular with me winning with Nikolai Volkoff of all people in the end, and finished off our awesome gaming marathon with several round of Halo 2 online. One helluva fun gaming marathon that I didn't do in quite a while I have to admit, miss those days with the Rich's a couple years back.

On a last note, one last b-rated video rental store closed in town yesterday, it was the last locally owned store in town, and joined about 3-4 others that closed in the past 5 years, with only Blockbuster and Hollywood being the last places left in town. Anyways, they were clearencing off all their old VHS and DVD's for $3 and $7 each respectively. I got a bunch of VHS tapes of wrestling ones I wanted in my collection and old movies I didn't see but was interested in from previews way back when and figured I may as well chance them for $3 each. Here's what I picked up:

-WWE Vengeance 2003
-WWF Wrestlemania 14
-WCW Road Wild
-Threesome
-Beavis and Butthead Do America
-200 Cigarettes
-Joy Ride
-One Hour Photo

Expect mini-reviews within the next month or two. That's all for now...latez!
