Another weekend is over. Friday was moreorless a waste. I ended up staying up far later than I wanted, but at least I did get to talk to both of the Rich's on the phone for the first time in a while. And ended up getting sidetracted in a bunch of other stuff, and I fell asleep about 6 hours later than I wanted to, which completely threw off my sleeping pattern for the day. Add to the fact I still had that cold lingering on me that I worked the entire week through with, and I wasn't doing all that well. I ended up lying in bed from 5pm until 3 am, and only got about actually only 5 to 6 hours of sleep in that time as I kept getting phone calls waking me up. Carlos called wanting me to tag along drinking with him that night, and I ended up passing on that, along with Joey and Steve calling wanting me to hang out with them too.
Anywho, I finally lingered out of bed around 3 am Saturday morning. I watched some of the television shows I taped, tho half of my stuff the past couple of weeks has been postponed by local sports such as womens high school basketball :( Later that morning I met up with my Dad and Ann for breakfast at Perkins. Then I got caught up with some laundry, and while that was in its cycle Joey and I went shopping around blowing our paychecks. I picked up Street Fighter Collection for Xbox and also ordered Worms 3D for Xbox online later that day. Once the shopping was done I headed back home for a little while, before heading out with Chris to go over to Corey's so Chris can remove some viruses from Corey's PC. All in the meanwhile we played some Outlaw Golf 2, Halo 2, and Deathrow. Been forever since I played Deathrow, and it is one of the few sleeper hits on Xbox that is really hard to track down. In a nutshell, it's really a futuristic sports game where you try to throw a disc in a goal, and can beat the crap out of your opponents as ruthlessly as possible. The team who scores the most amount of points in a time limit or KO's the rest of the opposing team members is the winner. Imagine it as a combination of battleball and soccer. I highly recommend tracking it down, check my review of the game here for the complete rundown.
Sunday I went bowling with Jarod and Dawn. Chris came along too and visited us as we bowl. Funny moment of the night came when I picked up a 3-way split while on the phone. I had a wide range of scores in my four games, which happened in this order: 93, 102, 52, and 137. Last game I started off strong with two strikes and two spares. After some bowling we grabbed a bite to eat, and headed to Jarod's to play some Tekken 5 for a little while. Afterwards, I went over to Carlos's and discussed with him a bunch of the crappy politics happening at work lately, and the Corey joined us and we played a couple rounds of Tiger Woods again. I still continue to suck at that game.
Right now, I want to shill an interesting new division of the gaming ring webpage that started up not to long ago. It is ---http://www.gamingringradio.com/--- And is hosted by three of the staff members at gamingring.com, one of the top wrestling video game fan pages on the net. Almost every episode focuses on wrestling and wrestling video games, ya, you can guess how much I love this show already. I just got done listening to their top 10 wrestling video games of all time broadcast, and am very impressed with their choices. It made me decide to give FirePro D another chance by immediately tracking down an English translation guide for the game and getting back into the damn thing. So far they only have 7 episodes up for download, but they range to only 2 to 4 hours in length, and covers lots of material. They tend to get sidetracked a bit with unusual things like ordering chinese food in the middle of the broadcast and other odd tings, but still, for a free broadcast, its pretty good. Make sure to check it out.
That's all I got for this entry, time to pass out again!
