Hello everybody. Just wrapped up my Easter weekend, and getting ready for yet another long week. A lot of the weekend was spent testing out the PSP games and getting that damn radio show Chris, Joe, and I did. We did a first take of it on Friday with just Chris and I, but we thought it turned out disastrous, and redid it with Joe on Saturday and thought it turned out much better. Again to get my full thoughts on the PSP and the games, just simply right click and save on this link - http://roadkill.vgpub.com/downloads/VGchat.mp3
-I bought a new novel by an author that Corey recommended to me. Any of you familiar with Dean Koontz? Corey knows I like suspense/thrillers and all and he told me he heard great thing about his work. I saw several of his books for sale and picked up the one that looked the most appealing, "By the Light of the Moon."
-I got a little bit more into Riddick, finally beat that Goddam mech that was so much trouble. I never would have thought that I had to shoot it in the back to beat. Joey brought over that new Timesplitters for Xbox, and they adressed a couple of my key qualms I had with the series. One, aiming isn't as hard to get a grip on anymore and it actually feels like you can shoot freely wherever you want for once. Second, Eido---I mean finally added gore to the game to give it a surprisingly gory makeover. Not use to EA dishing out M-rated games, and it's finally good to see them taking a chance for once. I love the over-exaggerated blood and guts in this game, add to the fact of the frantic fun pacing and it feels like the awesome PC hit, Serious Sam, all over again. However, the players still can't jump! That is crazy, must be the only FPS I can think of in years to not allow the player to jump.
-I did a several hour online session of Halo 2 with Rocket, did a whole bunch of Team Slayer. I'm probably sick of playing Coag on Team Slayer, its perfect for CtF, but just 8 players on Coag is one of my main weaknesses. Probably right now my favorite map is Foundation, I do really well on that map, with Burial Mounds and Midship being the runner-ups. I am anticipating the recently announced map expansion pack for Halo 2 though, 9 new maps that are going to be released throughout the course of summer. Maybe they'll bring back some more Halo One classics like Hang 'em High and Sidewinder.
-Easter Sunday went well, our family still does the whole Easter Basket tradition, got a bunch of awesome candy as usual, plus the movie, Trading Places, as a bonus. Went to church and had lunch with Dad, Ann, and Joe. It's still pretty hard to hang out with both sides of the family on holidays, but someway I still manage to make it work. Had a big 'ol dinner too at moms later on, got stuffed and felt great. Went home passed out, woke up and watched my Wimbledon DVD and all the extras for the first time since seeing it when it originally hit cinemas.
