Just wrapping up another weekend. Went by pretty well for the most part. I slept for about 5 hour until 9pm Friday until I joined Corey at Carlos's as he showed off his Xbox he just bought. He mostly bought it for that Mercenaries game. Now Corey, Carlos, and Steve all got Xbox's within the past 3 months, I never thought they'd ever upgrade to the world of better gaming. I brought over a good dozen titles that day for both of them to try out. We pretty much stuck with Deathrow the longest, we all seemed to enjoy that the most. Too bad that game didn't sell that well and got a lot of publicity, it definitely deserved a sequel. It was the Katamari Damacy of 2002.

After that gaming marathon I headed home and chilled for awhile, I finally tried Riddick for Xbox for the first time after it was sitting in my game library for several months. Man is it amazing. This is how I described it to Corey in an AIM convo we had a few hours ago....

im about two hours into it right now, and i only got to monkey with guns for about 5 minutes in the opening tutorial thats it, they make ya fight with ur hands in first person, kinda neet, like street fighting, ya can do mad combos. great storyline too, no cheesy voice acting these guys know how to deliver their lines, very well produced game. best thing about it is its dirt cheap, it goes for 15-20 new now since it came out a while back last summer. here's my sites review of the game, the guy gave it a 9.4, one of the highest scores on the site

I ended up staying up 30 hours straight to adjust my sleeping schedule for the weekends events, I think I might have squeezed an hour and a half nap in there somewhere, but it only gets you so far. Went to Adrian's big birthday bash at the base on Saturday. We all met up at the bowling alley there, and I started off with a little buzz as I split two pitchers of Bud Light with Shawn. Ended up making it a bit fun, I bowled two games, scores were 95, and 117 I think. Had some awesome cake and ice cream, then went back to their place for gifts. All in all a fun time. Went back home around 9pm hitting around 24 hours straight being up, but I decided to doodle around online for several more hours before finally getting some rest at about 2am. I had a very good 11hour hard sleep until 1pm. Shortly after I woke up, got a call from Carlos to meet up with him and Corey for bowling. I know, I've been doing a bit of it lately, eh? Bowled 3 games, first two were in the 90's, and I finished off my series with a 112.

Went over to Carlos's afterwards and we all got hooked on Eve of Destruction for awhile. That game has so many freaking game modes its unbelievable. They seemed to like it due to its crazy addicting game modes like Suicide Race and Detention. We even rolled out a few rounds of Totaled, been forever since I popped that in. The first good destruction derby racer this console generation, if you can deal with long loading times, I recommend it. To end it all we did a bunch more Deathrow, played it for a good couple hours before quitting to catch Comedy Central's roast to Jeff Foxworthy. Nice special, Colin Quinn musta been sick or something cause he totally didn't sound like himself. If you're into the Blue Collar Comedy Tour guys, I really recommend catching the encores that'll be playing on CC throughout the week.

So in the end it was a nice weekend, I got a little more I wanna say but I gotta leave for class or I'll be late.
