The work week is over thank God, went by really easy, probably our easiest work week of the year, and boy did we need it after last week's hellacious workload. Anyways I spent the whole week prepping up for the PSP release, got a Scandisk 512 memory stick, and some screen guards, because man just a few minutes with that PSP when I first got it, and just the slightest finger press against that screen will leave a mark. Thankfully the polish cloth knocks those off, and the Pelican screen guards prevents further ones from appearing. I later got a carrying case that can hack the PSP and the accessories, I don't trust the barebones Sony one that came packed in with the PSP. The Sony pouch doesnt even have a zipper on it and leaves it partially exposed!
Got my PSP on launch with no prob, Target had 80 units in, and they didn't even have a line when the store opened. I wanna say they sold around just 20 or so on day one. For my launch games I got Lumines and Untold Legends. Lumines is one cracked out puzzler. It's like Tetris on speed, but with some funky techno beats that change on how you know combos out of the dropbox. It completely wraps you into the experience and gets you hooked, good stuff indeed. Untold Legends, is a hack 'n slash RPG from the same peeps who made the Dark Alliance and Champion games, and its more of the same, but minus the awesome voice acting the aforementioned titles were known for, and add in some hellacious loading times. How long? Well, lets just say I gave up before waiting for the second stage to load after 3 minutes, yes, 3 minutes.
Me and Chris are going to be doing an audio show in MP3 format covering the PSP launch and games tonight, and it will be posted on VGpub midday tomorrow. I'll post a link to it here when its up tomorrow, so make sure to check it out when ya can.
