I had a pretty good weekend. Ended up being a lot more active than I originally anticipated. On Friday Chris and Joe came over and we did a little bit of gaming. Not a whole heck of a lot as I soon met up with Corey and Carlos at Buck's. They kept calling me to get me over there earlier and when I finally got there they called me yet again so I decided to pull a prank on them at the spur of the moment and said I was in a car accident and couldn't make it, I injured my shoulder and that they're taking me down to the police station to test blood alcohol levels. I'm not known to pull that kind of stuff, so I was still a little surprised that they bought it and the expression on their faces were priceless when I walked up to them.

After being at Buck's for a little while, we headed over to Southgate to meet up with a few other coworkers and I had just a couple drinks. I made sure not to get as tipsy this time out. I stayed and bs'd with my peers about the many bs politics that go around work, and they're all worried about whole our whole department is going to hell real soon because of our two new overnight execs......me, I just try not to let it eat me up too much and only worry about it if they get too much in my way at work, which thankfully they don't yet. I know I'm not the most liked guy at my workplace which makes me feel I shouldn't really participate in these gossip sessions so I try not to voice my opinion that much unless asked directly.

After the bars closed I headed over to Steve and hung around the hotel he worked out a couple hours as he worked his dreaded overnight audit he hates so much. I played him in NFL 2K5, and finally ended my 3 game losing streak. We did random teams, and I ended up with the 49ers, and him the Pats. Talk about lopsided, but I still manage to whomp on him. After a close first half, my crummy offense couldn't do jack against him, save for a couple of FG's, but my defense was holding up rather well and I was down just a point at halftime 7-6. However in the second half both sides of the field started playing like freaking all-stars as Rattay managed to actually complete a few passes, and Barlow rushed for over 150 yards. My defense rocked too as they completely shut out Steve in the second half, along with an interception returned for a TD to finish Steve off 34-7. Boy did that felt good.

Saturday I visited my dad for awhile as he had a grillout for us and I enjoyed some mighty good steak and potatoes. I helped him move one of his old couches out too before heading out and meeting up with Ann to do a little bit out of shopping. I was in dire need of some new clothes, especially with E3 around the corner, and Ann is great to shop with. Out of all the people I know, don't you think its odd I value my sisters input the most on what I wear? Anywho, I picked out three awesome new shirts, another jersey for basketball, and a pair of shorts. I think I got my clothes shopping done for the year.

After that shopping spree Joey and I met up with the old Software Etc crew for another gaming session. Only did one round of Halo 2 and then we shifted to a lot of other different games. One tv had DDR setup with a pair of dancepads. I tried it out for my first time, I had a lot of fun, but man did that game kick my ass. Other tv's had a little crowd going for tournaments in Soul Calibur 2 and Street Fighter Anniversary, that I both got royally whipped in. BS'd with my old coworkers about their latest happenings at work, and I still had a damn good time.

Sunday I went over to Bob's for another barbeque. Ann, Joe, and Mike were there, along with several others. Had a mighty good time, the highlight of the night was when 6 of us played Texas Hold 'em for money. We all threw in $5 each for the pot so this was my first time playing for a serious amount of money. I was surprised at how well I did. Bob went out first right away, then Joey shortly thereafter with both doing some careless betting. Mike just didn't get that lucky with the cards and went out third. Ann was on the bad end of some bluffs and went out fourth, and it was just down to me and Bob's rommmate Earl. This guy said he played poker plenty of times before for money and said I was doing mighty good for my first time. I was actually up on him a bit on chips when I decided to make him go all in on chips when I thought my straight would have beat him, only to be countered by his full house. It turned the tides in chips heavily, and eventually led to my elimination shortly thereafter. But I was only down $5 in the end and still had a great time making it that far, and hope to do it again soon.

Been a while since I typed up an entry this long. Kudos to you if you made it this far!
