Another work week is done in the books, and I'm about to start up my first true vacation in two years! Work just kind of dragged throughot the week, slower work week, except we set the freezer one day, which majorly sucked. Other than that a pretty easy week. Didn't really do anything too special during the work week, one good thing about them switching me to five 8 hour shifts now is I can catch some of the shows I usually tape that I miss at work, so its nice I can finally catch RAW, Smackdown, Joey, That 70's Show, and 24.
Speaking of those shows RAW was oddly dominated by its undercard. Odd to see Hurricane & Rosey as champs, especially since Rosey injured HHH's neck a few weeks ago and usually HHH's power backstage easily punishes people who disrespect or hurt him, and Rosey is rewarded with a tag title reign. I smell some drama brewing backstage. By gawd, Batista got the word over HHH for once and he ran off in a fit, he'll still be back next week. On the Smackdown side of things, I still don't buy John Cena doing his mega babyface act as reigning champ act, but I do like his new song off his album. I like Matt Morgan's new stuttering persona, he does it far better than Bubba did years ago, and even though I loathe his wrestling ability I like what they're doing with Heidenreich's character now by him trying to be everybody's friends. I was in stiches with his segment with the Brooklyn Brawler a couple weeks ago too. 24 is still rocking, I'm addicted to that show now, I'm into the second season DVD too now by several episodes, and I have no idea how they keep these shows rollin with so much crap happening. Kudos to you FOX for keeping me on my feet for 24 weeks. I caught the Joey season finale too the other day, great stuff. For awhile I didn't think they were gonna go with Alex/Joey eventually, but its glad they did tho I was digging Joey's girlfriend for awhile, and hey Howard made his long awaited return too, so double-huzzah for him. Great first season I have to say for the show, and I'm anticipatin the second season.
Another show I caught this past week was MTV's unveiling of the Xbox 360, the net's worst kept secret. I didn't really the special that much as it was coated mostly with celebs and other flashy crap and barely showed that much footage of games. Tho it was what I expected pretty much as they were aiming for the mainstream casual gamers that make up a huge chunk of their customer base. I dunno if I really like the system design yet, ugly white. Wireless controllers sound sweet tho, no more B&W buttons, hoo-ray. I sure hope Perfect Dark 0 lives up to its n64 predecessor that I loved so dearly. I'm pretty sure E3 will shed a lot more light on the situation, I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for backwards compatibility for original Xbox games.
I leave about in 10 hours to start my trip to Minneapolis to meet up with my sister Sherrie to get me to the airport for my grand trip to E3 this year. So these past two days off I have been hanging out with my friends and family as much as possible. On Friday I caught some lunch with my mom, Jane, and Ann at Wild Wings. That went pretty well, I stayed up about 26 hours straight before crashing at 10pm or so Friday night. Then crashed hard on Friday night woke up early on Saturday cuz of damn loud winds waking me up. I cleaned up my place a bit so its not a total trashpit when I get back. I wanted to throw a BBQ Saturday for my all my good friends and family but shitty cold weather prevented that. So I grabbed lunch with Steve, Chris, and my dad instead at Wendy's and then went back home and saw Joey show us off Forza for Xbox. That game looks great and now both Chris and I love it and want to get it. I ordered Jade Empire online yesterday too so hopefully that'll be waiting for me when I get back.
I had a little bit of car trouble too with my battery yesterday and my vehicle wouldn't start but my dad fixed it, and hopefully I should make it to my sister's allright tomorrow. Other than that I'm packed and ready for my second outing at E3. I hope to get an update in here about it midway through to let all of you know my experience about it. Latez!
