Weekend has come and gone. New two day weekend schedule now because I'm officialy on my 5 eight's. Just got done working my first Sunday night shift for the first time in several months. Friday morning I stayed up after work and did some errands and got home and just watched tv and played games until about 4 or 5pm. I got back into TOCA Race Driver 2 again for the first time in a while. Man do I love that game, prolly the only actual sim racer that allows 100% vehicle damage to the point where tires can fall off and you automatically retire from a race. So many different types of vehicles offered to race in to such as stocks, sprints, trucks, F1, and several others. The third one comes out in a few months, I'm looking forward to it.

After that bit of gaming, I took a lil nap, then Ann got ahold of me around 7, and I met up and visited with her and Mike for a couple hours. I guess those two are a couple now. Was still dead tired after hanging with them so I went home and passed out about midnight or so for quite a long time. Woke up Saturday and met up with Jarod and we went to Springfest. Kind of Grand Forks version of Woodstock, but at a much smaller park and with just several local crummy bands. But I still had a blast, just drank beer and mingled with old classmates and coworkers for about 6 hours. Good times indeed.

Dropped Jarod off, shortly afterwards I kept getting calls from the family to join them out to eat for supper but I was partied out and just felt like crashing again, which I unfortunately decided to do after watching Reality Bites for the first time on video. Always heard it was a classic, and I'm a big fan of those 'coming of age' genre of films. I was a little lost in the beginning, but eventually I got hooked in and loved it. Didn't know it was Ben Stiller's big breakout film, but then again I can't remember any other films he was in between Reality Bites in '94 and Something About Mary in '98.

Sunday was Mother's Day, and I had a feeling it was going to be crummy, and boy was I right when I started it off by locking my keys out of my place. I called my apartment landlord and thought the caretaker would have a spare key or something to let me in, but they told me 'go to a locksmith' grrr I call locksmiths and most of them ranged for $75 for a visit. So I got ahold of Joey and he attempted the 'ol credit card trick, but couldn't get it to work after many failed attempts. Then shortly after that Bob guarenteed he could get it to work and got it within half a minute after he started with simply a butterknife. Bob rocks :)

When I had that dilemma settled, I still had to worry about getting my mom a mother's day gift. Ended getting her a rather spendy batch of flowers for her to plant in her many garden patches in her backyward. Visted with her and the rest of the family for most of Sunday until it was time to head off to work at 10pm. Went by pretty fast, prolly the good thing to cutting down my nightly shift by 2 hours a night, it does make a noticeable difference. Had class afterwards and arrived with some good news. Got a surprisingly goood 92% A on my last test for Algebra. It raised my overall grade thus far from a 73% to an 83%. Even better, because of that boost, on my 150 point final coming up tomorrow I only need 40 points to pass with the bare minimum C, so its pretty much a sure thing. So huzzah for me, I'll pass my first college courses.......count to 10, do it again.

In a week I'll be leaving for my second trip to E3, the biggest electronics convention of the year. I'm pretty pumped for it indeed. I had a blast last time, except for the first day when I was totally lost in the mammoth halls and my feet practically had blisters from the sheer amount of unnecessary walking I had to do getting familiar with all the halls. It will be a great way to kick off the summer, and man do I need this vacation too as it will be my first one in two years that I have taken.
