Man, I have to get use to these two day weekends, they just fly by too fast. On Friday Corey came over and we just drank beer and played games all night. Kevin came in the middle of our marathon and I whipped him in NBA 2K5 with the freaking Bucks and he was the Heat. So as you can see it was a major upset. Corey beat me once, and then I beat him once in it too. Then I killed him in NFL 2K5 with random teams, as my Eagles beat his Redskins 55-34. I set new scoring records everywhere and I finally had my first great passing game in this as well. D-Mac went 14-29 completions with over 400 passing yards. A first for me. Before I was lucky to even get 200 yards. I also got a record 7 sacks as I was just screwing around doing pre-snap hot blitzs with nearly my entire defense and it worked a bit more than I anticipated.

Saturday was a bit of a busy day. I went out shopping with Ann for a couple hours, and I bought a much-needed new pair of tennis shoes. These ones should last a lot longer before completely tearing up on me within two months like my crappy Champions pair. I got me a pair of Reeboks at Foot Locker, I hate to spend $50 on shoes, but usually when I get Nike/Reeboks they last 10-14 months, and Foot Locker was also giving away $10 gift certificates with $50 or more purchases too which I used on 6 pairs of Foot Locker brand socks. I always can use extra pairs of socks as I'm continously throwing away pairs once they get noticeable holes in them. After the shopping, I went out for a BBQ with my dad at a park in East Grand. We had some mighty good steaks and riblets. Dad said it was his first time grilling on charcoal as he is use to his gas grill, but I think it went well for him.

At this point I noticed I lost my wallet and was panicking for awhile until I found out I left it at Bob's when Ann and I stopped there earlier that day to visit for awhile. Losing your wallet sucks, especially when there's $180 in it, thankfully everything was in tact when I got it back.

After the grillout I picked up Joe and we met up with my old Software Etc coworkers for a fun night of cosmic bowling and drinking. Now even tho we were there for two and a half hours, we only got two games in as there were 12 of us on two lanes. I didn't do terribly well or bad, I believe both of my scores were in the 90's. Joe smoked us in one game with 148 score I remember. It was a fun time, and Jayson even said come winter time I can come back and work as holiday help again, which was mighty fun. After the bowling, we had some late night lunch at Perkins. Lots of gaming related conversations over lunch obviously, I love it when I get into them. Funny point during dinner though was another table of bar-rush drunks laughing over stupid anecdotes, with one of my old coworkers chiming in at them and going back and fourth for awhile about misplacing their chapstick. You just had to be there.

In the end, it was two days that flew by like I expected, but at least I managed to make the most out of them!
