Welcome to hell!!!

Tiz been a crazy week. Pretty much have been hanging out with Rich all week while he was back in town for the first time in a year and a half. Got to meet his wife Torrie also who is a mighty nice lady. Never thought I'd see Rich get married so soon either. Unfortunately there really isn't a lot to do up here, and the weather has been off and on crap the past week too. Either its raining too much, or its too cold. Never really got a chance to go out and play basketball, but we did manage to do a decent amount of stuff.

We did a huge amount of gaming, and we got a lot of rounds of NBA 2K5 and some other games in. However, the experience was hampered a bit because my apartment was roasting due to some hot as hell weather hitting our area the past couple days. I really need to get an air conditioner. I ended up going outside in the middle of the night around 2:30am on Sunday morning for a walk in a cool breeze cause place was just too damn hot inside. Also on Saturday night we all hung out with Jarod and later Jason Mize joined us. This is the first time I remember seeing Mize sinced we all saw Return of the King at the theatre a year and a half ago. Guess he moved out to California too for several months and recently returned.

Friday night we went out drinking and shot some pool. Later played some PnA, and as he always use to be, Rich was one mean presidente. Ya, I ended up vomiting four times within one minute, then picked up playing again. Probably funniest moment occurred with this other guy playing with us named Linus, no he didn't have a blanket with him but he may as well should have. When we were picking out our poison at the liquor store he grabs himself a case of Bud Ice, and I'm just thinking 'wow, this guy must love the strong brew.' Moving on we're a good ways into the game and all, and he just had a few Ice's and he is already drunk off his ass calling everyone an asshole and said that Bud Ice is some really strong stuff. I asked him why did he pick it out, and I shit you not he replied "cause it said Bud Ice which I thought meant it was a lot colder than the other beers"

Only other noteworthy thing that happened over the weekend was celebrating father's day. Jane and Shawn couldn't make it out unfortunately. But Joe, Ann, and I all managed to catch Batman Begins with my dad. I really liked it, probably the best Batman film ever. Though there was not as much of a focus on the Scarecrow as I thought, and he didn't end up what I thought he'd be like either. The story was told much better too than previous Batman flicks. I appreciate the slightly darker tone applied to the story that has been what the Batman films have been needing for awhile now. I'd rate it about a 8 to 8.5/10

That wraps up this week, hopefully I'll have an A/C installed by next entry.
