-Another weekend in the books. Friday went pretty well. Sherrie was still in town and we hung out with her for awhile and enjoyed some lasagna. We were celebrating my mom's birthday too early since she was up with her niece and the whole family chipped in and bought my mom a fireplace for her birthday. We constructed it that same day and enjoyed a nice fire in the backyard that evening.
-After the bonfire it was around 1:30 am and I headed over and hung out with Steve at the Roadking for a few hours during his night audit. We played a round of ESPN NBA 2K5, I was the Sonics and him the Magic. It was a close game and was tied with under a minute left when these two drunks came down from their rooms (yes we were playing Xbox in the hotel lobby) and sat next to us asking where they knew they could order pizza (at this point it was 3am and all the pizza delivery places were closed). So they ended up distracting me enough to let Steve get a wide gap in that last minute and beat me by 10 points. I did manage to get some revenge and did a lot better against him with both of us picking random teams in NCAA Football 2006. I was just nailing all my plays and did really well and was up 35-0 at halftime before Steve conceded. Fun gaming indeed as it always is with Steve
-On Saturday I hung out with Chris, Joe, Corey, and Carlos. We all went to Applebees and enjoyed some 2 for 1 apps and taps. I always wanted one of those fancy beer mugs they give you there so I decided to walk out with one of the awesome beer glasses there. I think I might start a collection of those. Afterwards went back to my place and enjoyed the awesome mini-games FlatOut, and later I defeated Corey in ESPN NBA 2K5. And later again with random teams in NCAA Football 2006. I am starting to do a lot better in that, I'm ready to take you on Steve on Xbox Live!
-If any of you are keeping tabs on sports center recently they are doing their '50 States in 50 Days' special the past week or so and on Saturday they broadcasted from North Dakota. Covering the little league Cal Ripken baseball tournament of all things. They showcased other little things, there are really only two major things North Dakota sports is known for. UND winning its 7 NCAA D1 Hockey titles and being the home state of Roger Maris, the guy who held the single season home run record for 37 seasons with 61 homers before McGuire broke in 1998. Any of you caught the ESPN 50 days special for your home state yet?
-Here's a link to my latest review, this one for the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack . Enjoy. I'm debating whether or not to post it up on GameFAQs as my next review there will be my 350th and I think I might hold off on it for something special.
-Already a day into this work week, sounds like most of it will be fun in softlines all week. These weekends are going by too fast :(
until the week recap....latez!
