-Another weekend is in the books. It has been another scorcher of a weekend with the weekend highs being 95/90/95 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively. I must of went out for walks at least twice each day so I have been getting a lot of exercise in. I probably shouldn't seeing as how I'm still trying to get over this cold I have, but it seems like I am almost over it.
-I ended my streak of catching a film every weekend too at three. I was semi-considering of going out to catch Fantastic Four, but it just didn't seem as appealing as Batman Begins or other former comic book movies. That and I thought I wouldn't see it out of spite because of the overload of hype and advertising I have been seeing for it on television.
-Steve, Corey, and Chris came over Friday night. We played a lot of Burnout 3 and ESPN NBA 2K5. Getting back into Burnout as I forgot how much fun I had with it before. I was going to go tubing again with Ann and her friends on Saturday but I decided to cancel to help recover from my cold and so I could save a little bit more money. Instead spent the day hanging out with Joe checking out some stores around town.
-So yeah as you can see it was a fairly uninteresting weekend aside from the regular amounts of gaming. I spent a lot of time working on two reviews (links should be up shortly) and watched a lot of television too. I'm a good way into my Seinfeld DVD sets. I already completed Seasons 1 through 3, and am on the second disc on Season 4. A lot of these episodes are new to me, while Seinfeld had its run on television I probably only caught several episodes, the only one I remember catching that was new was the one with "Yadda, Yadda, Yadda." I got into it somewhat and watched it on syndication for awhile for a couple years catching an episode here and there so for each season I have only seen about 4 to 5 episodes, so a lot of these episodes are new to me. And for the comedy being over ten years old, it holds up well and I'm still getting a lot of laughs out of them. Seinfeld is easily one of the best sitcoms of all time because it doesn't seem like your average sitcom with all the corny jokes and run of the mill storylines. It is unique and there probably won't be another show like it for a long time.
-I'm also getting into the Friends DVD sets again. I bought the first six seasons as one set for a sweet deal a year and a half ago and watched all of them within the span of about three or four months. Corey has all nine seasons on DVDs and since I'm on a little bit of a budget (well my DVD money has pretty much gone to wrestling DVDs lately as I got ECW One Night Stand, Best of Road Warriors, and Best of the 80s DVDs all within this past month) he has been happy enough to lend me Season 7. I started watching it last night and watched all six straight episodes on the first disc nonstop within a few hours. I have no idea why I love that show so much. Seems like an average sitcom, but the characters aren't as cheesy and I can kind of connect with a few of them somehow.
-All this talk of television series on DVDs gets me thinking of shows I want to see on DVD that aren't out already. I pretty much have all the ones I want with the exception of two I can think of off the top of my head: The Drew Carrey Show, and Whose Line is it Anyways (both the old England and US versions). What tv shows would you like to see on DVD that aren't out already?
That is about all I got this week, latez
