Hey Yo! Had a pretty good weekend. Friday was mostly an errand day, and I spent a lot of it getting stuff done around home and picking up some more art supplies. Did a bit of homework as well. By the time I was done with the errands and homework, it was midnight, and I wanted to hang out with my bro a little bit so I picked up a pizza and he had a bonfire going on with his friend Jake and we all just hung out and chilled for a little for a couple hours. Pretty good time.

Saturday was the big day of the Disturbed concert I was looking forward to for a long time. Corey picked Steve and I up around 2pm and we met up with Carlos and his friend Nate at I-29 cafe shortly after. We headed towards Fargo and ate at Famous Daves, a BBQ restaurant Corey has been bragging up for months. The 5 of got the appropriately name 'Feast for 5.' Man did it kick our asses. It had a whole chicken, beef triscuit ribs, cornbread muffins, corn on the cob, fries, coleslaw, beans. I ate very well. Easily one of the best places I have ate at in a while. If u got one of these near ya and haven't been there, I highly recommend checking it out.

We still had a couple hours to kill between Famous Daves and the concert and we went to this one bar in Moorhead called JC Chimley's or something to that effect. We all had a couple brews and shot some pool for an hour or so and it was off to the concert. A band called 10 Years opened up. They had some good guitar, but the singer just didn't mesh with them and a lot of their songs sounded disjointed. A lot of the crowd was pretty into them though, with a surprising amount of bodysurfers for the opener I never heard of. Corey, Steve, and I thought they were all ok, but weren't impressed. Carlos loved them and bought their CD right after their showing at their table though.

After them, Ill Nino played and they were a lot better than what their CD left me thinking. They got the crowd going big time and I ended up drifting off from Steve and Corey and moshing in the midst of the crowd. There was one song they did where before hand they challenged the crowd to send as many surfers their way. I must have helped tossed up at least a dozen surfers the entire night. And I saw a whole bunch get clumsily tossed up and land flat on the floor painfully behind me. You got to know how to bodysurf people! The smart ones keep their feet up cuz they know how the pit hates to get their faces clonked with a shoe right in their mouth, so if I see a shoe right near me not aimed in the air I try to rip it right off (after the show there must have been at least a couple dozen shoes lying on the floor). Overall, Ill Nino put on a great performance and I hope their upcoming CD is just as good.

Between them and Disturbed I tried to go get a beer but the vendor didn't believe my ID and said I must have an older brother that looks just like me. Fuck him. If anything it was more of a compliment that I look that much younger :) Anyways Disturbed came on and they must have played forever. At least an hour and a half, if not two hours. They brought out all the hits though I wish they would have played 'Dropping Plates' 'Shout 2000' and 'Glass Shatters.' They did a 2-song encore of their new single 'Stricken' and ended it with 'Stupify.' Before 'Stupify' the lead singer asked 'What did you want to hear' and we all shouted that to which he replied 'Are we that predictable?' Other memorable moments was when the singer was talking to the crowd between songs that he was shilling alcohol and telling people to stay away from weed saying 'Weed is for people who want to see the fishees'

After the show I was physically drain, I moshed like a madman and gave it my all. When I got home I passed out for a good 10 hours. Other than the disappointing opener, this was easily one of the best concerts I have been to.
