Rich (left) celebrates after a big play against my new roommate Scott (right) in a round of Madden 2005

-Wuzzup everyone. Weekend went by allright, as did last work/class week. Ended up getting a low C on my first Algebra test which is a little better than I expected so huzzah. In art class I handed in a drawing of my nephew last Tuesday, I didn't think it was all that good but my teacher, Mrs. Choate seems to love it all so huzzah for that. I'll have to remember to take a pic of it and post it here along with some of my other drawings. At work this week we got a new team member on plano, Rick....he worked already with Target for 2 years in other department and seems like a cool guy. Found out today that Corey's last day at work will be October 21, and he knows for sure he'll be out of here by the end of the month.

-On Friday Chris came over and we hit up some stores. Chris bought himself an HD-multi-system selector. I am jealous at how much more awesome his games look in HD. Yes, it makes that much of a difference. I picked up Midway Arcade Treasures 3. We played a bit of that, it has a nice selection of games with my only peeve about it being none of the 3 Cruis 'n games are on there. Hydro Thunder still holds up remarkably well 6 years after its release. I thought Rush the Rock would too since it came out abouts the same time, but boy was I wrong. We finished the night off by investing a couple more hours into X-Men Legends 2. Found out I'll be getting it for review too, so that should be off to a good several hour start into it by the time I get it in the mail.

-On Saturday Scott moved in. That is him in the pic above on the right. I believe I mentioned it before in a previous post but if not, Scott just moved up to Forks from Fargo 2 days ago and I offered to let him room with me for a few months until he gets situated and has enough saved up to get an apartment. Will be nice having some extra cash each month to. To celebrate we got a couple cases of beer and Rich came over and we had quite the night. Did a bit of gaming, a couple rounds of Madden 2005 where Scott managed come from behind comebacks against each of Rich and I. We then tried to hit up the bar scene, but found nothing happening so we went back to my place and played some cards for awhile before calling it a night.

-Sunday was football day. I laughed as the Vikings got annihilated again. I mourned when the Jets couldn't move the ball just one yard for a TD when a defensive linebacker got a fumble recovery and moved it to the 1. Bollinger did decent all things considered. He committed no fumbles or interceptions. Though I think he did throw the ball away at least 6 or 7 times. Hey, at least he played it safe. He looked not situated in the first half, but stepped it up and looked a lot more comfortable in the second half, throwing for a much more acceptable amount of yards in that half (about 110 or so). Considering he went up against the Ravens defense, I think he did pretty well. It is just too bad he didn't have enough support from the running game when he really needed it. I hope Edwards gives him another chance next week considering this was a road game against one of the best defenses in the NFL. Vinny is not a solution, he was lucky enought to keep his starting job all last year at Dallas.

...at least Brooksie did better than Rattay. Boy, was I relieved when they pulled him out for Alex Smith early in the fourth with the game still within reach for the moment. Smith looked ready and in his half dozen or so completions it seemed like he nearly threw more than Rattay did all game. He looks ready and I hope Nolan starts him next week or at the very least put Rattay on a short leash if he starts up the suckage again.
