-Hey yo! I swear even though there are pretty lengthy gaps between my entries it seems like nothing to me. I guess I have just been so busy with work, school, plasma, and the other work so much time just escapes me.
-Last weekend was pretty fun. I headed out of town with the family to my niece in Montevideo (same place I stayed before going to E3 earlier this year), but hours before leaving for that I managed to head over to Best Buy with Chris and Joe and I was browsing their wrestling videos as usual when I noticed they are now carrying TNA DVDs. About damn time. They had 4 of them: Best of Raven, Best of AJ Styles, Best of Jeff Hardy, and Best of X-Division. I wanted the AJ Styles one but I saw they had 4 or 5 Styles matches on the X-Division DVD so I got that one instead. I think I might get the Raven DVD at a later date as well. I also picked up the Hardcore Homecoming DVD, which is pretty much Shane Douglas's ECW Reunion show that happened just days before WWE's ECW PPV. The main difference is it has all the TNA guys on there that couldn't appear on the WWE show like Douglas, Raven, Terry Funk (not in TNA but only wanted to do that show), and a few others, its also commentated by Joey Styles too.
-Speaking of Joey Styles is was good to hear he took over announcing duties for the Taboo Tuesday PPV since Coach had to wrestle. I hear he will be commentating on RAW for the next few weeks too and I can't wait to hear how he meshes with King. I am a huge fan of his ECW stuff. Taboo Tuesday sounded like a decent PPV, though I wish Duggan would've partnered with Eugene instead of Snuka. Funny thing happened when I voted a week ago for the 'choose Smackdown star to face Edge/Masters' I picked Hardcore Holly outta pity for him because I figured barely anyone else would vote for him, but instead of getting a 'thanks for vote' screen like I got for the rest of my picks I got a message that simply said 'click here to close window' I tried it a few more times and got the same message before settling for Christian. WWE musta not wanted Holly in the match and thought he'd ruin the show or something. Speaking of Christian it is terrible that he just quit the company and not renewed his recently expired contract a couple days ago. I loved his interviews and his ring work too. Hopefully TNA will turn him into a big star, hell if they put the belt on Rhino, they damn better give it to him. Oh ya, TNA has a big 2-hour primetime special tonight at 9pm, Smackdown's old time slot. Suppose to be a huge show in determining TNA's first major spotlight on primetime cable.
-The confirmation trip was fun. Lotsa food at the open house and drank brews all night with Rob, a few of his buddies and Joe. First time I saw my bro get plastered. Was a fun experience. On the way back home I listened to the football games on AM radio for the 4 hour trek home. Wohoo for Culpepper getting injured for the year, he got his just deserves. Brad Johnson will lead the Vikes to victory! I however was shocked the Niners beat the division-leading Bucs with their 4th string QB to boot! It doesn't matter that both Dorsey and Pickett combined for only 50 passing yards, Barlow and Gore got us damn near 200 rushing yards, so huzzah. Cody Pickett will save the Niners! LOL! Now if they beat the Giants next week I will be a happy man.
