-Allrighty, after another lengthy hiatus, your blogmaster is back! So listen up slapnuts! Past two weeks literally seemed to have zoomed by, I just finished my first work shift of the week a little over an hour ago and rewarded myself by buying me a case of beer. I still can't believe I found a liquor store that opens at 8am. Huzzah for me.

-Weekend before last was rather run of the mill with nothing too special happening. I overslept one day and missed out on a fish fry, all I did that day was go to Bucs with Scott & Steve and bought Steve a few beers for his birthday. Steve originally said just a pitcher, which later turned into 4 of them and he got quite sloshed so thanfully the Stevester had Scott give him a ride home. The next day I caught that movie, "Ultraviolet" which had to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. I went in expecting a half-assed crapfest of a plot with a few slick action scenes. Ultraviolet far exceeded my expectations, but not in a positive way. The actual film was far beyond awful and the fight scenes didn't even come closs to touching the greatness of the ones in the Matrix. Anywho, after that debocle a whole bunch of Target people were gathering up at Paridiso and I met up with them there for dinner. After that I met up with Joe & Chris and watched Four Brothers at my folks which ended up being a far better movie than I thought it would be. Only other thing I can think of that I did that weekend was finally putting a few hours into the beginning of Syberia. I had to consult an online guide for some of the trickier puzzles, but I am enjoying its enthralling story thus far. To my delight I found out the same gal who voices the main character for Syberia also voices the main detective, Carla Valenti in Indigo Prophecy.

-The next week came and went by just about the same, though a bit more eventful. I picked up Burnout Revenge on the 360 and have been playing that a bit as of late. I pretty much stopped playing the regular Xbox version once I heard a 360 version announced. The online play in it is amazing. I also picked up Advanced Warfighter for Joey while I was there since he reserved that as well. I tried it out and I found it a lot better than the other Tom Clancy games I have played before, but this time with stellar graphics.

-About midway through the week I found out that one of my coworkers I have been working with for nearly four years named Jim got fired. I guess the new overnight bosses we've had the past several months didn't take a liking to him that much and in order to get rid of him they were writing him up for the tiniest of offenses. Just stupid stuff alltogether, and it was just a damn shame they had to treat a guy like him so crappy considering he was been with the company alltogether for 6 years. We had a big sendoff for him on Saturday (which also happened to be his birthday) with a bunch of Target people at Paridiso yet again. I gave him a $10 gift card to a liquor store for something to remember me by. After the dinner we all met up at a bar and had some drinks for a couple hours. I heard they were all there till 1am or so, but I had to take off around 11pm so I could meet up with Chris & Scott for awhile since I love to make plans with a billion people on the same day. Three of played several rounds of our usual Perfect Dark awesomeness, and did a little bit of other odds and ends gaming until about 3am before calling it a night.

Day before that I hung out with two people from work outside of work for the first time. Jason, and another Chris (I will forever now just refer to him by his last name, Deraney). I met up with them and a bunch of their friends at Southgate to watch the UND hockey playoff game over a few brews. Sioux lost (but did win the next two to advance), and I also lost $20 on blackjack. After winning $10 doubling down on a 10 to get a 21, I thought it would be even wiser to double down on an 11 just a couple hands later only to get a 2 out of it. My luck.

I also spend most of last weekend gaming it up a bit on Xbox Live. I played a lot of Burnout Revenge online on 360, and let me say the community there is some of the best and most friendly I've played with on Xbox Live. Nobody is ultra competitive like in all the FPS's and everyone there seems to be there for just having fun. Since Rich now has Xbox Live I have started playing with him a lot online, and we did a lot of DOA4 the other day. I didn't win a whole lot, maybe about 10 wins in all yesterday and prolly 50 some losses (I actually got my 20 straight losses 'achievement'), but I did somehow manage to win an 8-person tournament so huzzah for me. Any of you guys also own Xbox Live? If you do feel free to add my gamertag to your friends list, my tag is Gruel.

-I am really getting into Lost now. I just finished up the fourth episode yesterday morning. I remember seeing all the hype and ads for it last year and just wrote it off so I wouldn't have that high of expectations for it and didn't even watch a single episode. But I still heard about how awesome the season was, and those guys at the DVD Weekly podcast named it one of their top DVDs of 2005 so I decided to pick up the season set while it was on sale and managed to save about $15 on it and decided 'hey I can watch it whenever I want at my own leisure' like I did with the 24 and Shield season sets. But, boy does that show have a good plot. I'm not too crazy about the whole wild boar thing, but the other things like all the characters' backstory have got me really intrigued, especially Lock's handicapped situation had me in awe and inspiration at the end of that 4th episode. I am anticipating the rest of this season. I didn't even catch an episode of season 2 yet, so I'll prolly get that on DVD too.

I am still catching the latest episodes of The Shield and 24 tho. The Shield is seeming to have a lengthy storyline this year, and I am starting to like it a little bit more now. Kavanaugh is starting to grow on me now, and it seems the writers made a 'Strike Team getting caught' storyline pretty interesting for once. 24 has just been just as exciting each week. I can't believe they killed off Edgar kind out of the blue and nearly the rest of CTU too in that nerve gas thing. Never thought I'd see bodies dropping like that on 24 before, or at least see Fox give 24 the goahead on it.

-Phew, I dragged on way too long again....please comment on anything you see above that is interesting. I am missing you posters on my LJ, and always love interacting with you guys, so please post away :D
