Hey yo! I'm about midway thru another blah week of work, actually we got a short work week this week as tonight is my last night on so huzzah for me. Then it is going to be a 4 day weekend that should be fun because UFC is coming to town this Saturday night, and then Wrestlemania on Sunday, so it will freaking rock.
Last weekend was actually pretty fun too. On the weekends I passed out around 4pm or so Friday afternoon because I stayed up blowing my paycheck on NBA 2K6 for 360 (rich been wanting me to get it so I have something to play against him in online) and a new TNA Wrestling DVD, among other things. As is usually the case on my weekends I left the phone by me to make sure I wouldn't oversleep any calls from friends so I wouldn't miss out on anything coming up that night. I got a call from Corey around 8pm and from there I was nonstop busy until about 11:30am the next morning. I talked to Corey and caught up on things with him in North Carolina for about a half hour or so until I got a beep from my bro wanting a ride home from work. So I give him a ride home, and then I realized I was actually up in time to catch a Sioux playoff game that I was invited to with a bunch of coworkers from work. I got there around 9:30, and had a few brews and enjoyed watching UND romp Michigan 5-1.
I then got invited to an afterparty at some apartment building that actually happened to be within a few blocks of my apartment building. Inbetween the bar and there I got ahold of Brent and got him to hang with him for the first time in a month or two and brough him with me to the party. This party actually turned out to be not all that bad, knew a decent amount of people there from school and/or previous employments so it made me feel a little comfortable, that and there was beer pong!!! The table was actually custom-made, and its top was designed from the hockey rink of the Ralph Engelsted arena. Brent and I won a round of beer pong, but got whalloped in our next one. If was a pretty fun night. The place was getting packed as the hours progressed from when we first got there around midnight, things were starting to get pretty heated there so Brent and I took off around 3am when there had to be at least 50 people stuffed into that apartment. Brent and I hung out for awhile until he took off at 4:30am, and then I decided to hop on Xbox live for awhile, instantly got messaged from Rich demanding I play him in NBA 2K6.
So of course he romped me in 2K6, then we both decided to go play Oblivion, but still had chat channels open while we played the game giving each other own tips. After awhile Rich left the chat, and within a few minutes I got another chat request from another Xbox Liver that we first started talking about Oblivion but somehow shifted talking about how awesome the Dreamcast was and how this guy thought the 360 was its unofficial successor. I kept talking to him for about a half hour or so, and then around 7am I got a phone call from my old roommate Matt of all people. In the slight chance you remembered one of my posts from about 10 months ago, I ran into him a couple of times at his work. At that time it was the first time I saw him in about 4 years since I moved out, we had a fun little chat for about 10 minutes and I gave him my number saying if he ever wanted to hang out again to gimme a ring (he didnt have a phone at the time). Wellll....10 months later I finally got a call saying he found my number. We reminissed for awhile and he asked what I was doing for the morning and I told him not a whole lot so he told me to come over to his place.
I got there around 8:30 or so and met his wife, who is really cool and it seems Matt has the perfect woman in his life. He is big into collecting figures and comics now, and he showed me his massive collection. His stack of DVDs must have tripled or so since I last seen them 5 years ago when he had just around 200 then. We hung out for a few hours and checked out some stores to see what they had new in, and it felt really cool hanging out again with him for the first time in several years. Finally, it was around 11:30am when I got home and I immediately passed out from that nonstop day. Saturday was also pretty busy for me. Decided to get Joe, Scott, Rich, and Justin together and we all played a massive game of Monopoly along with a bunch of beers. I was surprised we even finished it with that many people. Joey ended up killing us all with his massive miny-yo-opoly and coming out on top. Twas a fun night, and I am glad I finally got that awesome round of Monopoly in that I have been begging for in months. Got back home and stayed up playing lots of Oblivion and cleaning up a majority of my apartment. I finished things off by watchin a few episodes of Lost in a row. I am about halfway through that season now, and I am loving every episode of it.
I have been draggin on for awhile now, time to run, hopefully my next update will have a link to the third episode of the Pubcast. Latez!
