-I know it has been a while since an actual update, there is no excuse for it, but I'll make some anyways. Work, school, plasma, you know the drill. For the better part of this past week I was out pretty bad with a nasty cold. I almost called into work sick for the first time in 3 years, but decided to fight the good fight. First two days of the work week I was probably worthless, but at least I'll get a full paycheck just under a week from now. I even think I'll have a lil over 5 hours overtime on this next one so that should be a nice lil bonus from me.
-School is still going pretty well. I had my first of two exams for the semester in Ethics yesterday. I think it went pretty well. Our teacher had an interesting way of prepping us for it. He gave us a sheet with four essay options and says to study well for all of them because come test day we are going to have to write 2 page essays on two of the four. I studied for a few hours the day before and got good notes on all four of them and everything came right to me for my essay so I will be keeping my fingers crossed for a B. I got my second of four speeches this Monday also. I am planning for it to be an informative speech on how MP3 Players/iPods are the new medium as portable music devices.
-My second attempt at a podcast is complete, and it is just as craptacular! Download available below!! Beware tho, there are severe technical difficulties that prevented our second nice 35 minute retake from being finalized so we had to go with our first 50 minute outing instead, and even that one has some rather noticable technical problems. You might here a constant tap every several seconds, that is because of my brother's crappy USB mic he lent me. The background music kind of hid it to a degree, but ya, I think this will probably go down as another pilot. If you don't mind downloading it and taking a listen to let me know what you think about the actual content of the show, that'd be sweet, just right click and save on this link below...

-Wrestlemania 22 seems to be shaping up rather nicely. HBK vs. Vince should be a good/entertaining match much like Hogan/Vince at WM19. I actually want HHH to beat the living tar outta Cena and take his belt back. Angle/Rey/Orton should be good too with all kinds of insane spots, sucks it won't be the traditional 1-on-1 Wrestlemania affair, but that spot I think is filled nicely by Cena vs. HHH so this one should be just as good. Henry vs. Undertaker I dunno, Angle prolly brought the absolute best outta Henry at Rumble and was probably a just above average match at best so I don't have that high of hopes at Wrestlemania. But Undertaker always brings it for 'Mania, and I wouldn't be surprised if he somehow turned this into an entertaining affair somehow. I'm glad they are bringing back Money in the Bank, I find it odd as hell that Carlito isn't in it after he initially proposed it. Edge/Foley is either gonna be hit or miss, Foley is incredibly outta shape and I dunno if he can still perform a good match, but he was the same way when he went against Orton at Backlash 2 years ago so who knows. I'm predicting a pretty good show though that definitely has potential to be a terrific Wrestlemania.
-The weekend from a week ago would have been really fun if it wasn't for my aforementioned cold dragging me down for the majority of it. I remember when I got off work Friday morning to start the weekend I was just starting to get into some bad symptoms with my cold and decided to as much stuff as possible after work and class because I knew when I woke up I was going to feel three times as worse (by that point I was sure the cold would be in full effect). So after class I ran and got groceries, got a haircut, paid some bills and did a few other random errands. I got to bed at 5pm, I slept for about 12 hours straight and woke up at 5am in as shitty as I state as I thought I'd be.
That same night I promised to take my brother and Scott to the casino around 6 or 7pm and I didn't wanna back out of it because I have been promising to take my brother to the casino for months now since he turned 18 back in November. So I thought, "ok, just stay at home and rest and have plenty of soup so I can be at least half-decent when we go to casino tonight." Of course that didn't happen, it started too but by 11am I get a call from Rich wantin help to move the last of his big pieces of furniture from his trailer because I am the only person he knows with a truck. He said it all had to go today or else he'd lose it all cause that was the last day he owned the trailer. So my sick self went and helped him and Justin make three trips across town moving his bed, entertainment center and a few other odds and ends. Rich was awesome about it tho and treated me to a nice meal at Joe Dimaggio's for it so that was plenty cool of him.
By the time that was all done it was time to take Joe and Scott to casino. And by this point I was physically sick and drained of nearly all energy. To top it off, when I went to pick up Joe I saw Ann shoveling all by her lonesome so I got Joe and all three of us shoveled the driveway and walk real quick before we took off and picked up Scott. The actual casino trip wasn't as bad as I thought. Joe and Scott provided lots of good conversation for the hour and a half drive down to Manohmen casino so the drive didn't go as tiring as I thought. When we got their, Scott went right to blackjack, and I showed Joe around the casino. By past luck I was already loathing slots but I showed them to Joe anyways, I plunked down $5 on a nickel machine, Joe wasted $15 and within minutes he was like "let's do blackjack." So we joined Scott's table and I started off pretty decent and ahead about $30. Then I kind of went down to the even $50 I started with and stayed there for a while before the cards just didn't go my way and knocked me down to zero. But I made that original $50 last a good hour to my surprise on a $5 minimum bet table. I plopped down another $60 hoping to last just as long but my luck took a turn for the worse as it only lasted me 10 minutes.
Joe started off surprisingly well doing all types of crazy bets and he actually doubled his money and was up $100 to $200. It was funny watching the dealer show Joe the ropes to real Blackjack compared to how Joe use to play it only online and showing Joe how to properly double down and split. But then Joe just didn't know when to stop and his crazy bets continued like doubling down from $30 to $60 on a 12. And then he just ended up losing all his money. I felt worse for Scott, he lost $300 of his tax return money there. He started off real well, but then he just started doing lots of major bets that didn't go his way, the killer came when he lost $150 on one hand (he did a $50 bet, split it, and doubled down one of them, both hands but the dealer somehow got blackjack).
Drive home everyone was far more quiet because of our crummy luck at the casino. It was about a little over a year since my last trek out there, it will probably be the same for my next time too. I think for now I'll just stick to blowing $5 to $10 at blackjack whenever I'm at the bar.
