-After yet another long hiatus from updating I am back. Things have been going kinda awkward lately. Mostly my sleep pattern has been kinda crazy. I went near 24 hours straight awake, and thought I'd be able to sleep for at least 10 hours of good solid sleep, instead I wake up after 5 and a half hours and just can't fall back asleep. Other than the weird sleep cycles I have been fine.
-In my speech class last week I delivered a persuasive speech on why they should get rid of the Chase for the Cup playoff system. I thought I did allright but I guess I did way better than I anticipated and got an A. So huzzah for me. I think I am going to finish with a pretty solid A in that class and a high B in my Ethics class so yay for me having a good semester.
-Had a rare 3 day weekend from work. I managed to make the most out of it. On Thursday I parted ways with my PSP and all of my games and accessories for it, and got $191 store credit at Software Etc. I used it to get Top Spin 2, Arena Football, and nearly pay off a DS Lite. Later that day I met up with Chris and Jason from work and a few of their other buddies at Ground Round where they had some pretty sweet drink specials and I got a pretty buzzed over there. Later on I found out Joe and I had the same night off. So I went over there and we watched a couple flicks, we saw the Rundown and Ed Wood. Joe never saw the Rock's second ever featured lead role in a film and he ended up liking it. Ed Wood was better than I expected, Johnny Depp does one helluva job portraying the little director that couldn't. I highly recommend everyone check out this flick.
-Friday was another long day. I saw Scary Movie 4 with Brent. The fourth edition mostly is a satire of The Grudge and War of the Worlds, with bits of The Villiage and Hostel thrown in for good measure. I say this one was pretty good overall, but definitely not the best of Scary Movie of the four. I'd rank it third (with the original still being my fave, closely followed by the third, and the second just flat-out sucked so I am not including it on here). Later on that day I met up with my dad and an insurance agent and set me up some life insurance. I think I picked out a decent deal that should work out great for me. Later on that day I visited the family for a little while before going home and crashing early.
-Saturday was a good day with it being the first day of basketball of the year. I met up early with Justin, Kevin, and Rich and the four of us played a few rounds of 21 on 2-on-2. Considering I am a horrible player, I was surprised I did my all time best in 21 by making it up to 10 points (I had 13 overall, but goddam tips negated 3 of my points) and even managed to snag the lead for a little while. Afterwards we played a little football then had a BBQ over at Rich's and grilled up some steaks and burgers and played some 360 for the rest of the night. Twas a mighty good and active day.
-Sunday was good 'ol Easter and I met up with the family to celebrate. Instead of cooking the big traditional meal we cheated this year and hit up a buffet. Got to admit, it was very nice not having to worry about the same clean up we usually do year after year. Overall it was a damn good extended weekend I made the most out of. Now I plan on wasting my next weekend doing nothing, huzzah!
