-Hey yo. I just finished my speech final about a half hour ago as I type this. I think I did pretty decent on it. I'll be hoping for a B. Got to love finals week, it has been keeping me pretty busy lately. Just a week to go and I'll be done, huzzah. I also picked out my classes for next semester recently. They are Creative Writing and Sociology.
-Didn't watch a whole helluva lot of the draft as I did last year. I only saw a handful of picks. But from what I understand the Niners had one helluva draft. They got a Tight End that sounds like he has the potential to be the next Tony Gonzalez and a killer LB that sounds like he should hopefully make up for the loss of Julian Peterson. Niners got a lot of rebuilding to do, especially considering since Nolan traded and released damn near all the team. No more Perterson, Andre Carter, Fred Beasley, Brandon Lloyd, Rashaun Woods, and a few others. Yet we still keep Kevan Barlow......blah....Go Niners!
-That new Final Fantasy movie is pretty good to my delight. It removed the stench that was Spirits Within right away. You cannot call a film 'Final Fantasy' if it doesn't have a single battle scene, Advent Children had loads of them. It had a damn good amount of fanservice, I am not all that knowledgable about VII, I only played it for a few hours and mostly watched my friends play through it, but I had a pretty decent perspective of the story going into it. Chris and Scott though caught a lot more of the little details than I did when watching it, and it made Scott go hunt down a copy of VII online so he can play through it again. Only gripes I have with the film is some plot holes, and some questionable voice acting and background music selections. But other than that this was damn good film through and through. I'll go 8/10.
-So what do you think of the name change of Nintendo's new system. It is going to be called the 'Wii.' A funkier spelling of We. That is one screwed up name I do not like for many o reasons. But I'm sure if I got use to stupid names like TNA wrestling, then I'm sure I'll get use to the Wii. It is just going to make for some damn awkward conversation. In other gaming news Guitar Hero continues to reek of awesomeness. This is the best music/rhythm game I have ever played, it smokes DDR. I was playing this taking turns Scott, Brent, and another dude last weekend, and usually I'd be bored waiting about 15 minutes for my turn to play a song, but not this game. It is addictive as hell and I easily plan on purchasing the recently announced sequel. I have also finally got a bit more into Oblivion recently. I still am trying to avoid using Fast Travel so I don't miss out on any cool locations not on my map, I already ran across several insanely challenging forts and caverns as a result, and am glad I am taking the extra time to go from location to location.
-Last weekend was pretty fun. Well, Friday was anyways. Went Cosmic Bowling with Steve and Brent. We got 4 games in and I broke 100 three times with my highest score being a 123, but still managed not to win a game. Mostly thanks to damn splits ruining me on the last frame in the first two games. After that Steve headed home and Scott, and Brent's roommate Zach joined up at my place to watch Advent Children and then play lil bits of RAW 2 for the first time in ages, and loads of the aforementioned Guitar Hero. I think we stayed up till 5am playing it. Saturday was a bit more mello, did some laundry while watching movies with Joe and Chris.
-Hey did you see Joey Styles cut that insane promo on RAW last Monday? That was great stuff. Been a while since I have seen one of those 'worked shoot' promos. But Joey delivered big time, and you could tell there was a lot of truth to how he ranted about his crappy treatment to him ever since his arrival in the WWE a half a year ago. This gets me even more pumped for the recently announced relaunch of the ECW promotion (WWE owned of course). It is going to be interesting to see how this sets up One Night Stand next month.
Tiz all I gots for ya today, latez
