-Whats up all. Another week down, and I'm back for my weekly ramblings. Work has been the same thing, work load is starting to pick up a little bit, and come beginning of July we'll be back at it again full swing once Back to School sets start up. It actually has been a pretty decent past week tho, so I'll share my highlights...

-I beat Dreamfall on Monday! If anyone else is playing it, make sure to watch past the credits as they have another special couple minutes of footage. Timer says I took 27 hours to beat it, but most of you can prolly beat a few hours faster than me because I barely skipped through dialogue and tried to explore the most out of the game. I liked it as a whole, the ending gave me a rare combination of a sense of closure, but it still left a few things open for another sequel. In all likeliness, Funcom will probably take another six years to release it.

-In movie news, I finally watched Slammed. The straight-to-DVD film that is about two guys trying to make it in a backbar wrestling circuit. It was on wrestlecrap.com, and listed as something even worse than Ready to Rumble so I had to see it. Of course, it was just as awesomely bad as Ready to Rumble, so I can appreciate it for that. It actually had a few people on their I recognized from older sitcoms. Sasha Mitchell (Cody from Step by Step) was in it as the legendary wrestler, Slammer. Zachary Ty Bryan (oldest son from Home Improvement) was in the film as the annoying best friend. That annoying best friend kid from Hanging with Mr. Cooper is in Slammed also, and finally the stupid neighbor father from That 70's Show also has a role in this movie as the main character's Uncle. I got my $6 worth out of it, so huzzah!

I also watched Fraility and End of the Spear with Joe and Chris over the weekend. Fraility blew me away as I never even heard of it before. It's a suspense thriller, that reminded me a lot of Boondock Saints as it follows these two kids and their dad on how God chose them to kill deadly sinners that God has labeled demons. It told a damn good story, and had a few good twists in it too. I highly recommend it. We also watched End of the Spear which I thought was a total bore. I couldn't make it to the end, and as Joe and Chris finished it off I had more fun surfin the web on my PC. On new release day yesterday I picked up two new DVDs. The special edition of What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I remember only seeing this movie once and really liking it, so I hope it still holds up. The other one I picked up is Nightwatch, It got two of the highest recommendations from Matt and Kubryk so I decided to give it a chance. They said it is like Lord of the Rings, but with vampires, and that was enough to sell me on it :D.

-I had a pretty good three day weekend. Thursday I mostly spent hanging out with Matt. We went to Fargo and checked out the latest comics. Matt's a big Marvel buff and gets almost all of their new releases. All I picked up were Punisher #34, Civil War #2, and Civil War Frontline #1. I didn't read the new Punisher as currently I'm pretty early in reading through the whole Max run as I'm on #7 now. I did read both of those Civil Wars and I'm very much liking the story arc. Civil War 2 has a pretty big shocker in the ending, so I gotta say I liked it. I'll have to take a chance on some of these crossovers soon I think. After checking out some other stores we headed back and watched some videos at his place before I ended up crashin at home.

Friday was fun. Met up with Scott, and later got a call from Paul and Jim (two coworkers I hang out with occasionally) and we met up with them to finish watching a Twins game at Grizzlies and had a couple beers. Right after that we went to their place and played Risk and grilled some burgers. Before this, I cannot recall ever finishing a game of Risk. Here we played teams and I was the only one who went undefeated and won both games. First round I teamed up with Jim and we conquered Scott and Paul, that one was more decisive from the getgo, but it took longer than the second round for some reason. The second round I teamed with Scott, and it could've been anybody's game but the dice roll was on our side and we ended winning that game surprisingly fast. Overall Friday was fun and a nice change of pace. Can't beat drinking beer and playing Risk.

Saturday I had a lot of people over to do all usual rounds of gaming and record the latest episode of The Pubcast ( episode 10 now up for download). Steve, Ash, Joe, and Chris were all over. And aside from watching the two aforementioned movies, we played a bit of RAW 2, Showdown, and Dead or Alive 4. All in all, a weekend well spent!

-Tiz all I got for now, cya next week!
