drinking it up with the teamfremont.com crew

-Whats up everybody. I just finished up a nice extra long weekend. I took a couple days off to go outta town and probably made the most out of this time off. It woulda been a perfect weekend if it wasn't for two big inconveniences. One being my tire going out on me while traveling. One of my other tires were in extremely crappy shape and the damn tire place had a buy 3 get 1 free deal that suckered me into spending $300 on four new tires. Booooo. The other is my 360 crapped out on me and I had to mail it to Microsoft to fix it up for me. I rented Chromehounds and Prey to try out on it to the day before, and I just popped in Chromehounds when the freeze happened and the 360 just wouldn't load up anymore. Oh well, I'll just go 3 weeks without it or so, but that gives me time to catch up on my other games on older systems so hoo-rah for that.....sort of.

-Weekend started off nice by seeing Clerks 2 with Joey. That movie was amazing. I don't want to say its better than the original because this one has such more of an enormous budget (5 mil compared to oh 50 grand), but I'll just say its really freaking good in its own way and that I highly suggest you guys go out and see it. Chris came over later that night as did Steve and we all played Jeopardy on PS2 for awhile.

-Steve and I took off the next day, I was heading to the twin cities but was going to drop him off in Fargo and meet up with him the next day for a concert. After the flat, I dropped him off and was back on the road and travelled nonstop to the twin cities. The teamfremont.com crew (they're the gaming boards I frequent the most now) we're holding a "beer extravaganza" and I got to meet their staff along with a few of their other board posters. That's all of us in the pic above, by clicking on it it'll take you to some more pics from that event. We had a pretty fun time, there was lots of brew to go around, and I had a fun time talking games and podcasting with everyone. I got to see some cool Dreamcast homebrew stuff, and we all played some DS Mario Kart before I took off a lil after 4am. Overall it was a really fun time, and well worth the trip down there.

-Speaking of podcasts, I finally got mine listed on iTunes so everyone can have much easier access to our archive. Our iTunes listing can be found by going to this link: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=171535352

-On Sunday I met back up with Steve in Fargo. I we ate at the mighty awesome Famous Daves BBQ, and got ready to go to the Rob Zombie and Anthrax concert. The concert ended up being a really fun time. Anthrax opened up, they only played about 7 or 8 songs, I only knew 2 of them but they put in a solid performance. Zombie put on another killer show. He did a cover of Enter Sandman that was pretty good. The crowd later on chanted Pantera, and they teased a cover of Walk but decided against it. Overall a really good show, but I enjoyed his past 2001 Merry Mayhem tour performance a bit more because he had a lot of cool pyro effects going on then. Spent the night in a hotel on Sunday then came back to town on Monday. Hung out with Joe for a little while and we watched the spectacular movie known as Slammed. We then met up with the rest of the family to celebrate Bob's birthday for awhile before I headed back home.

-So aside from the two aforementioned unfortunate happenings, it was a really good weekend. Tiz all the time I got for now. Latez!
