Hey Yo!
-I'm currently midway through the last week of summer before school starts up. I went and got my books a couple days ago. Yay.
-Still no new updates on the 360 situation. As I said before, I am making the best out of a worst situation by catching up on a stack of older PS2, Xbox, and GCN games from last holiday season I mostly neglected. It seems the last two neighbors I couldn't get ahold of have been home lately as I see their vehicles now when I got home in the morning. Now I just gotta wait at a decent time to catch them when they are home. If they don't have it, I'll be pissed cuz I know MS has just been giving me the runaround every time I call their customer support this past week.
-That "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" book is hilarious. It is what it is, a compilation of wild drinking stories, and it is fucking hilarious. All my coworkers keep giving me looks of me crackling up nonstop during breaks, but I can't help it. It's worth it.
-Last weekend was fairly decent. Missed out on some of it cuz my sleep pattern was fairly off. I hung out with Rich for the first time in a couple months last Friday. I met up with him, Sam, Kevin, Justin, and one other dude and we all shot hoops for a couple others. We did some 2-on-2 and 3-on-3. Kevin was on my team in 2-on-2 and we did first to 15, and won, of course I showed my natural skills with 0 points. Somehow in the second game when I teamed with Justin and Rich in 3-on-3 in out 15-11 loss I managed to salvage 2 points outta the ordeal. It was still a fun time though considering it was only the second time I played basketball this summer.
I hung out with Chris and Scott for a while later that night. Chris brought over Scary Movie 4 and we watched that, and we started to watch the redvsblue season 4 dvd, but I grew continously tired since I only managed a few hours of sleep the night prior so I cut the night earlier than usual.
-The next day on Saturday Gamestop held their yearly Madden tournament. Only Sam, Kevin, and I showed up (prolly woulda been just me if I didn't tell the other two about during hoops the day prior). We played the 360 version of Madden 06 (which played a lot better than I remembered, maybe I'll pick up 07), and unlike last year this one we played was played with a convinient 3 minute quarter length. Kevin got a bye since it was odd number of people, so my Cardinals took on Sam's Panthers and we had a bit of a shootout, with me nudging ahead the win 31-28. I then took on Kevin in the "finals" and I was ahead for practically the entire game 7-0, and then he scores with 0:08 seconds left and makes a field goal in overtime to win. Just not fair. I guess the winner only got a 360 faceplate this year so it wasn't that big a loss.
I was suppose to meet up later that night at 5:30 with some coworkers to celebrate somebody's birthday. I laid down at 4:00 to take a nap and next thing I know it is 9pm. I call to catch up with them, and they invite me over for some drinks. I get there and we play some Moose for awhile, and I automatically am forced to down a couple beers within the first 15 minutes I'm there. It wasn't the best brew either so now I don't feel like drinking anymore. I just kinda hang with everyone and BS until I take off around 3am. All in all, a so-so weekend.
