-Hello everybody! I'm halfway through another exciting week of class and work. I got an assignment from sociology to interview someone over the age of 70 discussing the culture they grew up in. I'm debating right now between my aunt and my dad, who believe it or not, even though I'm 23, he will be turning 66 next month. Close enough for me.

-The football weekend was definitely interesting. I was nicely surprised to find out the Niners will have a capable offense this year. Alex Smith had the game of his life and made Antonio Bryant look like a star. The O-line drafts from last year are starting to prove worthy, and Vernon Davis made one heck of a TD grab in his first NFL game. Our defense though is still the shitz. Why did Nolan trade Julian Peterson? Whyyyy!? But 27 points is good for me, and the Niners teased a last second comeback too, so I'll take the good with the bad. Vikes won their opener, I overslept it, but tiz good to hear anyways. I will be anticipating if my former classmate Brooks Bollinger (currently Vikes backup QB) gets a chance to play for them much this season.

-On Monday I overslept work big time. I was suppose to start at 10 with my alarm set at 9, I remember waking up at 8 and must have subconsiously turned off my alarm clock on my way to the bathroom because next thing I know it is a little bit after 1. Yeah, I ended up being over 3 hours late for, that's a bad thing. Thankfully no one at work was all that pissed off.

-I have been buying up quite the amount of games and DVDs lately since I got my nice paycheck last Friday. I should be good for the rest of the year now. On Xbox I got Xyanide, MX vs ATV Unleashed, on PS2 I picked up Yakuza (only about an hour in so far and am enjoying it a bit), Saint's Row on 360 (though it has been paid off for awhile), and Phoenix Wright on the DS finally came in the mail from Amazon after being on backorder for a couple months. Another thing that came in from backorder in the mail for me is that classic movie, The Wizard, finally on DVD. For you youngings that don't remember it was a 1989 theatrical release that was basically a commercial for Super Mario Bros. 3 and The Power Glove. It had some name actors in it like Fred Savage and Christian Slater, I know the movie will probably be cheesy as hell now than what I remembered it, but I mostly got it for nostalgia.

Other DVDs I recently got were Arrested Development season 1 (I finally caught the sale Greg, got it at Target for $18) and Lost season 2. I watched the first disc of Lost s2 over last weekend, and am really liking it other than Michelle Rodriguez, I always hate her increasingly annoying role of bad-ass chic. Other than her screen time, first four episodes of season 2 get a thumbs up from me. Interesting side note on Lost is I was telling Joe about my purchase, he asked if he could borrow season 1, I get a call from him, no shitting you, two days later saying he finished the first season and was wondering if he can borrow the second. I have made him an addict. :D

-According to UPS I should be getting my 360 back today.....if the same shit happens as last time there'll be hell to pay I tells ya!

-Last weekend was pretty fun. On Friday I was really looking forward to going to the Cushman Classic, it is the annual big game between our town's two high school football teams. I pick up Joe and we pull up at 7pm right when it is starting, but there is not a parking spot to be seen, even the city streets surrounding the stadium are filled to the brim until about 10 blocks away. Eventually I saw fuck it, and Joe and I go see Crank at the theatre instead. I must say that movie is freaking awesome. His name escapes me, but it is the main character from The Transporter who is the main character here, he wakes up and finds out he will die soon because of some weird Chinese shit a guy injected into him. He talks to his doctor who says only way he can stay alive is to keep his adrenaline on high by any means necessary. Hilarity ensues. Some of the shit they come up with in here just blew me away, this is easily a must-buy once it hits video, and I highly recommend you guys catch it in the theatre. I'll go a 9/10 on Crank.

Saturday was a blast. I went to my first Xbox LAN party in a while. I met up with Chris, Scott, Jake, and Joe and we all went to another guy's apartment who was hosting the LAN with a bunch of Gamestop dudes. All we played was Halo 2. That game still holds up to this day, the multiplayer is just that damn good. We did four rounds of 5-on-5 team slayer. My team won the first round, but then lost the last three. Regardless it was still a fun time that I haven't done in about a good year since then.

-Want to listen to the 16th episode of my podcast? Right click here and save as to get it into your iPod/other mp3 player/or listen to it right from your desktop. :D Roadkill and I are the hosts, and the always stellar Brett of the Wicked Pissa Podcast is on as a guest host this show. This show's topics include discussion on the recent news of the PS3 shortage/delay in Europe, some discussion on a slew of recent PS2 and 360 games like Yakuza, NHL 06 & 2K6, & Texas Hold 'em as well as a review for Enchanted Arms. The latest text review I did also just went up yesterday on vgpub, for the first ever MMO golf game Shot Online, check out the review here. It is also the first PC game I reviewed in a couple years as I was surprised by the shockingly low requirements (recommended settings is 1ghz processor and 250ram).

-Another week, another long boring entry. Latez!
