-Hey, Yo! I forget exactly how long it has been since my legitimate last update, so I'll just go from my last series of days working. I worked the nights of the 21st and 22nd. Then for the first time in nearly four years, I called in to work to miss, I was working on a mildly sprained ankle previous two nights and wanted to come back off my days off a 100%. Anyways, we had a lot of family over that night, Sherrie & Rob and their two kids, as well as Jane & Shawn and their two kids...and (wait for it)...Bob & Summer and their two kids. That was primarily the major night we celebrated Christmas.

We all opened gifts from everybody later that night, and at the end did things a little differently for Secret Santa this year. Instead of drawing names like previous two to three years, Jane came up with this idea she was told from a friend where we all buy random gifts (limit $10), and place all the gifts in a pile. Then all of us drew numbers, and when it came to our turn we could either open a gift from the pile, or steal somebody else's opened gift. The person who just got their gift stolen would then be presented with the same two options. Only limit on it was each gift can only be stolen three times max so game wouldn't last forever. The gift I put in the pile was The Wedding Singer on DVD, but put it inside of an empty PS3 box that I snabbed from Gamestop earlier that week. My niece Nicole got it, figured out it was obviously a gag gift, upon seeing it was the Wedding Singer she went off on how she hated me because she already owned that movie. That movie ended up getting stolen away to Rob in the end. I drew the final slot, so I got to see all but one gift opened, and I stole a little gift pack of Adidas cologne away from Joe, which was stolen its last time. I was very skeptical on this whole thing going in when Jane told me about it, but figured I would at least give it a try and am glad I did because the experience was a blast. Anyone else ever do anything like this?

Rest of that night ended up being pretty fun. Played some random rounds of Guitar Hero with family. Steve also happened to be over for that whole night when Joe invited him and we played some occasional rounds of gaming. Next morning on Christmas Eve I made it over and we had this nice massive breakfast. Everyone just kind of visited for awhile and then we went to Wild Wings for lunch. Watched some football going during everything, Niners lost to the freaking Cardinals again as they killed the Niners playoff hopes this year. Damn you Cardinals! After lunch I ran to the mall real quick to exchange some old games and picked up used copies of two games I wanted for awhile, Black and Dragon Quest 8 (announcement of 9 on DS got me eager to play last one again).

After that all of us met up at my place to celebrate Christmas with Dad. We exchanged gifts and visited for a couple hours. Pretty fun time, I had about 8 people crammed into my tiny apartment, but it was a fun time regardless. Afterwards, Dad and I caught Rocky Balboa at the theatres. Rocky is a piece of American culture to me and I have been eagerly anticipating this movie since I first heard about it over a year ago. This one was very good, wasn't perfect but I was extremely satisfied with it. The fight scenes were great yet again. It's hard to rate it since I'm so damn biased towards the franchise, but it is safe to say if you enjoyed the Rocky films, then you'll enjoy this one. After that, I attended Midnight Mass for the first time in at least a few year and then went back to my folks place at decided to pass out there after gaming it up a bit with Joe and watching the weirdly animated film A Scanner Darkly. It is cool to see a film try that style of animation, and I think I was more fascinated with that than the actual movie itself which dealt with drug addicts.

Christmas morning was kind of different. Mom was out of town but she left Ann, Joe, and I a few gifts each to open on Christmas morning. Ann whipped up a nice breakfast for all of us. After visiting for a little while I went home and kicked back for a few hours, I went back and caught the RAW Christmas to the Troops special. Right after that it was getting towards the end Xmas, and to finish it off Jake and Scott joined Joe and I in some rounds of Guitar Hero and a round of Risk. We did unofficial teams of Joe and Jake against Scott and I. Joe and Jake got eliminated, but I will never forget Scott's last turn where he put a major dent in me and turned on me and knocked out one of my continents. It was still a fun time though and I am happy as hell that Joe got me the actual board game of Risk as it is much better than PS2 version. I got Joe a board game for Christmas too in the form of Nintendo Monopoly. So there should be many fun times to be had.

Overall, it was a fun few days off to celebrate Christmas, and as you can see I made the most out of it. Damn I made it super long again, if you made it this far without getting bored I salute you. I will leave you all with my giftload I got this year.
