-Hello everybody! It's time for another one of my bore-tastic mid-week updates!

-Last weekend went by allright. On Friday nearly half of my coworkers all met up at the theatre and watched Epic Movie. It's from the same people who did Date Movie and the Scary Movie films. This one is mainly spoofing on Chronicles of Narnia. Unfortunately this one just isn't all that funny. It's mostly like Date Movie where it has a few moments and the rest is just crap that doesn't even elicit the slightest grin from me. This spoof also throws in several random rap music video spoofs throughout the movie that seem as their only purpose is to kill time cause the filmmakers didn't realize how this sorry excuse of a film is. If you're like me and just want a few good chuckles give this a rent or hit up a matinee, but as far as expecting a statire masterpiece, look elsewhere. And coming from me that is huge because I am one of the most easily amused people out there. 3.5/10

-Rest of the weekend went by with noting major of note. Had dinner with dad on Friday night, and hung out with Chris and Joey on Saturday. We watched Donnie Darco which Matt recommended to me a few weeks earlier. Turned out being a very, very good movie, one where I had to make sure not to miss out a moment so I can keep up on everything going on. I feel bad now for skimping out the extra $5 for the Director's Cut at Best Buy. Anybody see that one? If so let me know if it is worth picking up and if there is anything major I'm missing out off the regular DVD release.

-As far as gaming news goes I have finally beat Saints Row. Upon beating it I wrote up my review for it the next day. On my Top 10 games of 2006 edition of my podcast I ranked around #5, and it deserves it big time. I had a blast with that game, minus the online which I was greatly disappointed with. But the main game is a blast and has tons of content available that everyone should at least give a try. (Yes that is one game beat thus far in 2007 Sashanan, you have influenced me to try and beat more games more frequently, I am going to shoot for one game a month to beat). In other gaming progress I advanced a decent amount in Tony Hawk 8 and Just Cause over last weekend, and also started Black by completing its first two missions.

I also picked up Hotel Dusk for DS, which I know I prolly won't make time for to play for several months but figured I may as well get it now since it sounds like Nintendo might not ship too many copies. I also did some ebay'ng and tracked down a few classic NES for my Messiah console. I ordered BaseWars, and Ikari Warriors 2&3 (never played them but after loving the original so much I figure I would at least give them a chance since both were going for only $2 or $3). I also got around to finally getting the Genesis version of Shadowrun. I spent a lot of time with the SNES version, but never really played the Genesis version all that much, but I do remember watching my friend play it a lot and from what I recall it had a far more user-friendly interface.

-I watched the series premiere of MTV's new wrestling show Wrestling Society X. I think I mentioned it here before, but for a refresher it is a weekly 30-minute show. Overall I like the debut show, it is a true adrenaline rush compared to Impact. I don't believe I can say before that within the span of 10 seconds I saw New Jack jump 15-20 feet off some scaffolding through a wrestler, through a table, then see two wrestlers fly into and get electrocuted into electric fencing, and then immediately see another wrestler go through a table. It is definitely something different, and the show definitely has my interest. I just wish it didn't have to air directly against ECW, oh well.

Speaking of wrestling, I found out Buffalo Wild Wings has discontinued showing wrestling PPVs, and my folks don't have PPV ordering access anymore, so this year marked the first year that I missed a live Royal Rumble on PPV since 2002. I think I am going to rent the digital cable box through our cable company but say to hell with the extra channels, I just want the PPV ordering access and I think that alone runs only an extra $5/month. Because I definitely don't want to miss Wrestlemania.

-That wraps up another long ass entry....later!
