-Hey hey hey. I'm about halfway through another thrilling week of school and work. So far initial impressions of my classes this semester are fairly optimistic. My US History teacher is the same one I had last semester and I am planning on doing very well in it as I did before. My music history teacher is also cool, he was retired but said he got tired of watching tv all day and wanted to come back and teach a course where students could have a laid back atmosphere and have fun. Comp teacher is still a little hard what to make of. But so far classes are going well.
-I am on a mission to try to beat a lot of my past games instead of barely touching them at all and then proceeding to the next one. After a few months and nearly 25 hours into it I am just several missions away from beating the last gang. I also cracked away at a good chunk of the side missions in it. Next game I plan on beating is either Just Cause or Black. Then after those I can finally get to the two games I have been anticipating the most. Zelda - Twighlight Princess and Bully. Only new games I plan on getting through June are Guitar Hero 2 on 360, and FF6 on GBA, and maybe Hotel Dusk on DS.
I have however ordered a couple games on the Turbo Grafx to attempt to establish a decent collection of games for it. The two I ordered were TV Sports Football and Blazing Lazers. The latter of which I heard is one of the best old school shoot-em-ups out there.
-Last weekend was pretty fun. On Friday Scott came over and did our usual marathon of Guitar Hero. I'm trying to get high scores on all the songs on Medium difficulty, I still find it very painful to play through almost any song on Hard. Speaking of Guitar Hero, when I went to reserve the second one for 360, I was a bit shocked to find out it was going to retail for $90. The Gamestop manager says this is because it comes with a wireless guitar, but everywhere else I check states wired. $90 is a bit more than I'd like to pay (considering original Guitar Hero bundle was $70), but thankfully Joe can knock off 15% of that price for me. Later on, I got Scott to record a podcast with me ( right click to download)
On Saturday hung out with mostly Chris, Scott, and Jake. Watched Idiocracy again and I enjoyed it a little bit more than I did originally. We also played some WiiSports and Elebits on the Wii. I almost went out and picked up WarioWare, but I just don't see that game worth $50 to me. Overall a decent weekend.
-New Season of 24 is rocking as usual. Anyone keeping up on it? Spoiler - Only parts I'm down on so far is how much of a character they're making out the President's sister to be and how they killed off Curtis. Boooo I say! I am also looking forward to the new season of The Shield coming up soon, I'm looking all over for the premier date but can't find it, even on The Shield's official site, if anybody can give me a head's up that would rule.
-I just got to give some major props to Shawn Michaels for stepping it up on RAW this past couple of weeks since HHH got injured. He's making up big time, and I am enjoying his work immensely because of it. Only Shawn can make a 1-on-2 comeback that believable the way he did against Edge & Orton on the RAW before last, and his Street Fight against Edge (first time I remember the two facing off one-on-one) registers as my first 4-star match and first contender for match of the year. I am going to be rooting for him big time to win the Rumble cause I know he can carry Cena to a damn good main event match at Wrestlemania.
That's about all I got for now. Latez
