-Hey Yo! Man, it's been a busy week. Lots of homework....lots of taxes....lots of fun.
-Got taxes done last weekend. Found out I am getting quite a bit back due to student loans. For a couple minutes I considered getting a PS3 with it now that I have efficient funds, but after taking another glance at the current and upcoming titles for the PS3 I quickly laughed off that idea. I am not paying $600 for Resistance and the ability to play Virtua Fighter 5 a few months before it hits the 360. Sorry Sony. Guess I am still feeling burned by the PSP (only system I ever sold for being dissatisfied with).
I am in progress of receiving two new gaming systems though. One is a slim design PS2, my bro is buying my older bigger model for his girlfriend and I had some trade in credit too. That slim design is just stellar and it'll work perfectly for my entertainment center where I had to reduce space for game systems recently (GameCube got stored away, no problem due to Wii backwards compatibility, as did N64, but I'll have no problems hooking that up to get my bi-monthly No Mercy fix). I also ordered a 3DO online. Why a 3DO? I have no idea, I just got the itch to get one the past few months. I remember reading a lot about it in Game Players and figured I can catch up on the system and a lot of the games for cheap now. Oh yeah, I also recall Game Players saying it had the best version of Road Rash ever. So I ordered it off Goat Store with the three games I wanted most for the sysyem: Road Rash, Twisted, and Return Fire. It all totaled up to $99 If anyone else has any recommendations for 3DO games I am all ears.
-I finally got around to rearranging my apartment last weekend. First time I did a major arrangement of furniture, which is way overdue since I've been there for nearly three years now. I made my living room a lot more space friendly as there is now about a good 5 feet in between the couch and television compared to the two feet from before. Now there should be decent room for Wii Sports games. A new couch is what I plan on using my tax return on, I was out looking at some yesterday.
That and the added space from arranging should bode well for now I plan on having WWE PPV parties. I am getting the cable box needed for ordering wrestling PPVs installed tomorrow. The box runs $7/month, but I plan on having PPV parties once every or every other month so hopefully I can make more money back on it that way. After the horrible situation of our local sports bar not showing WWE PPVs no more I mentioned before, I came to the conclusion that I will not be denied live wrestling PPVs!
-I only had one day off last weekend, spent it mostly hanging out with Joe, Jake, and Chris. We watched the recently released director's cut DVD of The Punisher. I actually hated the new cut. Even the previous cut I had some gripes with based on how they made the Punisher's character compared to the comic but enjoyed it mostly. The new scenes added from the director's cut however sucks. It mostly adds in a sidestory with how Punisher finds out how his best friend betrayed and it further separated movie Punisher from the comic Punisher when he FORCED his former best friend commit suicide for betraying him. Now comic Punisher would never make that happen, he'd just kill him himself like he did to Micro when the Max series of Punisher started up. Additionally, the added "animated" bonus scene is a joke. The only cool thing about the DVD is its case design. Otherwise, I highly recommend skipping on the director's cut version of The Punisher.
-Speaking of movies, Kubryk I tried searching through IP's archive for your best of 2006 movie awards but couldn't find it, can you hit me up with a link?
-Tiz all I got for now! Latez!
