-Hey Yo! Damn quite a bit of time has passed since my last entry, what can I say? I have no excuses. Anywho, class is about to be wrapped up finally within a couple weeks, I just gotta write a 10 page paper for my comp II class and worry about 2 more finals and then it will be an awesome summer break. I always hear peope suggest taking summer classes, but I always decide not to, I know I will probably regret it later on down the road as it would probably help me finish a semester or two early, but I'm just fine right now making sure I don't overload myself too much.

Besides, summer is my time set aside to play (real life!) tennis and basketball with friends and catching up on a bunch of past purchased games and movies I'm behind on. Other fun stuff I got going on slated for this summer is The Midwest Gaming Classic in Wisconsin in early June, a video game convention that isn't like E3, but has enough similarities, I also am going to be attending a couple weddings and those are always fun, and I am damned optimistic to at least spend one weekend camping!

-Well, where should I start covering the things I have been up to the past couple of weeks...oh why not let me hook you up with my first ever book review....it's pretty short as is the theme of this site I'm writing for so it shouldn't take you too much time, check it out!

-I got a new cell a few days ago. About damn time too I might add as my current has been on the fritz for nearly a year now where it would just turn off at random moments, regardless of how much battery life the phone had. The reason I had to hold off for so long is because I had to wait for my current contract to expire with Verizon so I could renew and save a couple hundred on "upgrading" to a new phone. Of course this makes me Verizon's bitch for two more years, but at least I got a decent new cell. This is a black Samsung that that has a keypad on it, and can be used in the traditional cell phone way or flipped horizontally to use like a mini-laptop for texting. Hopefully this one is durable, as out of the several cells I owned over the years, only one (a Kyocera) gave me no problems over a long duration of time.

-So last weekend I made a drive down to Fargo with Scott and Joey, why? To see a couple of movies because Grand Forks only has two theaters for a total of 14 screens (of which 2 or 3 or usually saved for the one current major flick) and doesn't always get all the major motion pictures that are coming to town. In this scenario I saw three films (technically two) in Fargo with Joe and Scott: Grindhouse and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Grindhouse - Planet Terror was mindless zombie fun with lots of random explosions. Big thumbs up from me! Deathproof had way too much dialogue, of which half was interesting and the other half dragged me to boredom, though the car chase scene was pretty damn good. Aqua Teen Hunger Force - Um, yeah I only saw a couple of the tv shows before, so a lot of this film didn't resonate with me a whole heck of a lot and was pretty weird throughout, however the opening disclaimer stole the show! It was quite the day for movies to say the least, today I will see another flick as I expect Stone Cold to throw a few stunners in The Condemned.

-So I am attempting to play through Guitar Hero II in Hard mode, and the difficulty sure as hell lives up to its name. I'm stuck on "Woman" currently. The opening riff just caught me off guard from out of nowhere, so I went to practice mode(which is a blessing in disguise!) and practiced the opening riffs on the slowest speed multiple times, then the "slower" speed multiple time, then "slower" and finally "full speed" till I was hitting at least 90% of the notes. I then went to the main song again and was doing fine up until the three-part guitar solo that made the opening riffs a cakewalk. Now I consider myself a decent Guitar Hero player among my friends (I five starred every song in Medium difficulty in the game), but damn is Hard mode kicking my ass right now. I will continue to practice though in hopes of providing decent competition to Moe of teamfremont.com, who is byfar one of the best Guitar Hero players I have ever run across.

-Another game I have gotten back into was Oblivion. I actually ended up getting back into this game last weekend after not touching it for 10 months right before my 360 died. I just wanted to download the updates that I heard slightly improved game performance and figured "why not do a quest to see where I left off." Next thing I know, 10 hours go by. Not terribly far and am about 20 hours total into it. I just made that tomb light up for that map to get the third main story achievement, and just also became Arena Grand Champ. One of the reasons probably why I ended up not getting too much into this game before is because I was persistent on not fast traveling and checking out everything by at least horse traveling. I decided to fast travel, and following the quest checkpoints on the map and it is helping me enjoy the game a helluva lot more compared to before.

-WWE 24/7 continues to rock. Watched Judgment Day 2002 on there which saw Taker beating Hogan for whe "Undisputed" title, and HHH beating the crap out of Jericho in Hell in a Cell (and ref Tim White taking some mean bumps which resulted in this being the final match he ref'd). Pretty good show all in all as the WWE was just transitioning into the brand split, and this was the first PPV with the "WWE" initials used also. This weekend I plan on watching Armageddon 2006, well just the 4 way ladder match anyways, and Backlash 2003. Did anybody see last Monday's RAW? That was mighty awesome of them giving away a ONE HOUR, old school, mat classic of a match between Cena and Michaels, which was clean of ref bumps, run ins and interference of any kind. Quite a memorable RAW for all the right reasons.
-That is all I got for you today. Latez!
