-I know it has been awhile sand am running late on my usual update, but I have actually been focusing on doing homework instead prepping up my final paper for Comp II.
-Right now I am watching WCW Mayhem 1999 off WWE 24/7. 45 minutes in and this is bringing back a lot of fond memories. This was when Russo took over WCW booking for first time, and wow how things were different. Mike Tenay was actually a good backstage interviewer and had a helluva lot less wrinkles and droops on his face. Jarrett actually carried Benoit to an awesome opening match on the show, both guys were far better and more motivated workers than they are today. Perry Saturn cut crazy ass promos which were likely a precursor of things to come with his run with Moppy. Konnan actually looks healthy and like he is not about to die. Norman Smiley and Brian Knobbs did an hilarious Hardcore match with Norman decked out as a goalie and Jimmy Hart throwing toilet paper rolls at him. This is a hilarious PPV thus far, and I'm only an hour in, all I remember it for before was where Bret Hart won his WCW World belt. WWE 24/7 rules.
-So yeah, I had a one day Easter weekend before last. Met with practically all the family again, and instead of having our usual traditional Easter dinner, we cheated and went to a buffet. Also did some cosmic bowling with Scott and Beth where I won a round with a score of 120, so huzzah for me!
-So there is some drama going on at work lately or at least it seems like it. Things were going pretty good for past couple years since we got our new supervisor, but lately I am getting some rather bad vibes from other supervisors from how they perceive our team, add on a couple of bad nights at work with how I've been managing the workload and I'm just hoping I stay out of trouble. We'll see how it works out....
-I spent most of this week doing homework so I could have more freetime to catch up on a lot of videos I recently got and catch up on some gaming. I got back into Oblivion and played it for the first in 10 months (before my first 360 crashed), and ended up playing it for 9 hours straight. Also watched the Four Horsemen documentary which was very good. The feature went over 2 hours and it covers what seems like everything, with thankfully putting more of a focus on the glory years of the original horsemen.
I ended up making Saturday a waste by trying to do too many things for everybody. I went to a local concert with Steve which was an Ozzy tribute band. The show ended up starting a lot later than it did, we got there at 7, I ended up leaving at 9:15 and the show still didn't start so I could hang out with Scott, Chris, Joe, and his two friends. That just ended up being a mess with too many people wanting to do too many things. Anyways I get back home and call Steve later in the night to find out how the concert went and he said it was a blast for a cover show and the bands played for 4 hours total and that he ended up chatting it up with the band members and getting some drum sticks. Note to self, never ever make multiple plans for the same night.
-So I found out in one of our town's community blogs that Jeanie's is closing, which was a local diner. Now that was a great place to go to recover from a hangover. Some people in town gave it a bad rep for its atmosphere, but the place actually had some good food. So Jeanie's....here is my shoutout to you! Five seconds of peace for the chef!.....
-I just picked up the new Major League: Wild Thing Edition DVD last week. This version even has a killer turf cover! It is one of my alltime favorite sports flicks. It is cool to see it finally got a special edition that it rightly deserves. Am about to watch it here in a little bit so I'll have a rundown of how it turns out in my next blog.
-The other site I write mini-game reviews (and soon mini-book and film reviews) just got a redesign, check it out - theentertainmentreview.com.
-I think that is all I'll inflict on you guys today....latez!
