-So time is a flying. School is finally almost over, just one day left with my finals for Music History and US History II, and I'll be done until August. Hoo-rah!
-So Joe's trip to Bemiji was straight forward enough. Went there with Jake and Joey Friday before last, dropped off gravy, went to Gamestop in Bemiji and had Joe buy me Star Ocean on PS2 for my troubles. Got to listen to a few podcasts though along the way. Joey has a nice deck in his vehicle that allows USB devices to plugged in and played from so I brought my 1gb USB jump drive, and the quality was a hell of a lot better than attempting to play podcasts off my MP3 player throught a car lighter adapter in my truck. I can see myself upgrading to that deck just because of that feature.
-Spiderman 3 was pretty good. Saw it on opening day with Joey. Not as good as the second one, but still full of the usual Spidey goodness. I don't have a lot else to add since I have seen a lot of talk about the film everywhere else in blogosphere. I will say I loved Campbells slightly extended cameo though.
-Somehow managed to get a couple fairly recent new 360 games for $10. Crackdown is one, and somehow Amazon must have had a glitch or their version of a blue light special and had Phantasy Star Universe for $10. The new Crackdown downloadable content looks awesome, and I'll probably just plow through PSU mostly in single player, though I'll prolly give the multiplayer a shot for the free trial period. Combine those with the couple other games I have been holding off to play through this summer like Condemned and Civil War, (as well as playing lots of catchup with my other backlog), it should be a fun summer of gaming.
-As far as recent gaming, I have been mostly sticking to three games for single player. I am trying to get as many achievements as possible in Just Cause clearing out all the side quests, I am making good progress in Oblivion as well, and am also working on achievements in Guitar Hero 2, of which I recently finally completed hard mode after spending many hours practicing many songs. I don't know if I should even dare expert mode. Muliplayer gaming has been dominated by Smackdown vs RAW 2007, Tetris Evolution, and I actually got back into Perfect Dark Zero again recently, and that game held up a lot better than I thought it would from when I last played it nearly a year ago.
-Rich from work came over last weekend and we watched Edge win the world title on Smackdown. He brought over a few indy wrestling DVDs from Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and watched a couple matches from them that seemed pretty cool. I might actually have to order a few DVDs of PWG now. Scott, Joey, and Chris came over also and we all played some multiplayer games for awhile before calling it a night.
-Got a chance to hang out with Matt again too last weekend for the first time in awhile. That was a weird day where we intentionally buthered "Eternal Flame" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFfT8YXD6c4
-So Mother's day happened, and that meant getting together with the family and having a gigantic BBQ. It went allright, I guess lately I am just use to hanging out with people in smaller groups, so when the whole family is there it can just be a bit overwhelming.
-As far as recent web work that I did lately. I did my second DVD review for Rocky Balboa, it was for Entertainment Review, so there I usually challenge myself to make my reviews as informative as possible in under 400 words. You can see the results....ah its not posted yet, but my first DVD review for TNA's 50 Greatest Moments is up - check it out. Also just posted the 28th episode of my videogame podcast, On Tap, where we discuss Lord of the Rings Online, Forza 2, future 2007 game releases, and more, download it here.
-So this weekend should be unique. I get a chance to work on a short film with a friend from work in a film festival that challenges several groups to make a short film of 5-7 minutes in 48 hours. I have no idea what I'll be doing, but it definitely sound worth trying out.
-Tiz about all for now....latez!
