-Hey hey everybody. Man summer is almost over just under three weeks until the next semester of classes begin. May as well make the most of the rest of summer, and I will be as this weekend I am going camping and maybe even toobing too....so hoo-zah!

-Game #13 beaten!!! - Syberia II - I just got done beating this about an hour ago! This picks up exactly where Kate Walker's last adventure is left off. It took me a little shorter time to beat this one, approximately 11-12 hours compared to the 15 hours it took me to be beat the original, but this one is still a blast. Puzzles are way trickier too and if I didn't use a walkthru (you would too after facing some of those very in-depth puzzles). Ending is what I thought it would be, but it is just so short and, not to spoil anything, that there would be more closure with Kate. Overall though still pretty good, and a damn good time enjoying the Syberia experience as a whole. I try to get in-depth reviews for these both up by the end of the month. I think for my next game I am going to finish off the Punisher on PS2 I got a good ways into it but never got a chance to finish it off.

-Last weekend was a pretty darn good time. On Thursday I met up with Matt and his wife and we caught the Simpsons film in theaters. I remember leading up to seeing the film I kept bringing up how I wanted to see it to friends and it seemed like I was the only person looking forward to the film as I know a lot of people gave up on the tv series. I have watched most of the past couple seasons of the simpsons and while they are definitely not as good as the show was back in its heyday, it is starting to get better from where it was around the turn of the century when everything went to shit. Anyways the movie brought back the memories of the good old days as it seemed the writers saved all their good material from the past several years for this film. The jokes are actually funny and not corny. Really good job all around and FOX pulled out all the stops on the animation for this too. Anyways if you guys remembered how good the Simpsons were, make sure to check out the movie. 8.5/10

-On Friday, Chris and Scott came over, and we got to do something Scott was egging me forever to try again. cue dramatic music.........Dungeons & Dragons!!! Now I actually played some old pen and paper RPGs back in my high school days on a couple of occasions with Rich in the forms of Vampire Masquerade and Dragonlance, but the last time I played was a good 6 or 7 years ago. This brought back many good memories. Scott was a very good DM, and Chris use to play before too so they helped ease me in. After the session was over the next day I went on half.com and ordered Dungeons and Dragons for Dummies as well as the 3.5 rules player's book, cuz I still got a lot to learn and really want to get into this. Anyone else here play much D&D or any other pen and paper games before?

-Saturday the indy game store, Rock 30, hosted a Guitar Hero 2 tournament. It was double elimination. In the first round randomly picked contestants picked one song each in pro face off mode. If both players won a round the managers would pick a tiebreaker song. So with 32 competitors, the first round lasted a good 3 and a half hours. In the first round I went up against about a 15-16 year old and all 1st round songs were medium difficulty by the way, I picked YYZ, I didn't miss too many notes and finished 98%. However, the dude I played against perfected the song, I forget the song he picked but he ended up getting 98% on it and I got 95%, and was thus eliminated. Joey also entered and also lost in the first round, but manage to win in the only song he ever plays in that game, Strutter.

In the loser round to place third place, rules were survival style with winner staying in one round face offs. Joey actually got picked to go in the initial face off and won the first song, of which were now on hard difficulty and randomly picked by the managers, but got obliterated by more than 100,000 points in the second round which happened to be against.....no shittin ya....a 6 year old kid. A couple other little kids were playing too and were just insane to watch how good they were. I swear it must be the only thing they do, "scew tag, let's play Guitar Hero" even one little kid was playing the guitar really well behind his freaking back!!! I was the second to last person to go up against one of these lads and the song picked was Heart-Shaped Box. Now I beat hard mode in GH, but almost all the songs I had to three star in order to beat, I did a little better than I thought and got 91%, but of course the little kid had to best me and get 97%. All in all 'twas a funtime.

-How about Pac-Man Jones signing with TNA Wrestling? From what I understand, TNA constructed a wrestling ring in Jones' backyard and are going to help him train for a match coming up in a couple months. Guess he needs something to do for his 10 game suspension.

-So Barry Bonds hit the 756 eh? Whether you like him or hate him, my props for him. That is one helluva record to break, and watching the highlights of the historic occasion and even the rival fans you could tell by the telecast that a good chunk of the hate went away. Though it'll probably be back again soon enough. Congratz Mr. Bonds!

-Well, tiz all I got for ya today. Latez!
